I’m with you on the Leicester win though, would love to see Villa relegated. Always better for Burnley when a big club with loads of money goes.

Re: Leicester vs Villa
Tough one for me. Know quite a few from Leicester. All plastic, Forest supporters (go figure) and suddenly Leicester fans. Villa, don't get me started. Seems a lot of people from Leicester adopt Villa too. Very odd. Leicester win for me because, well because Villa are the only one who can be relegated. Strange lot Leicester people. They jump on the bandwagon of teams in the midlands doing well it seems.

Leicester 1-0 Aston Villa
Aston Villa players have recorded 10 errors leading to goals in the Premier League this season.
That's more than any other side in the competition...
To think there were people calling out Ben Mee for an error on Saturday....

Re: Leicester vs Villa
I missed the first 5-10 minutes but Leicester have been all over Villa whilst Ive been watching, Villa lucky to be only 1 down.
Difficult to see how Villa can change it much - maybe bringing on the dynamic Drinky can turn things round.

Leicester have battered Villa, missed 2 or 3 really good chances in the first half

Re: Leicester vs Villa
Dean Smith has a fair job on his hands lifting them after that. They've a game in hand but the approaching run of games is:
Home to Chelsea
Home to Wolves
Away Liverpool
Home Man United.
3 at home is the good bit but Wolves at 6th are the lowest placed of that lot and Man U & Chelsea are beginning to hit some serious form.
Real test of nerve.

Re: Leicester vs Villa
Probably would have shown all the others up with his silky skills and work ethic , so he stayed on the bench.
Re: Leicester vs Villa
Reina. How many times has he done that in his career?
Back to reality for Villa. 4-0 hurts and it's not done their GD much good.

Re: Leicester vs Villa
Villa are poor at the back, and leaking goals left, right and centre, this is a Leicester team that have been struggling for a while, and yet Villa managed just 1 shot on target.
4 straight league defeats for Villa now,and Bournemouth and West Ham both have winnable home games at the weekend,if they're not careful they could join Norwich in getting caught adrift.
Drinkwater a no show again tonight i see,it can't be a coincidence that our form has considerably improved since he left the building.

Don't go there, Tony. it will only give you a headache.
Reina doesn't know either.

Drinkwater? Drinkwater? now why do I know that name
Oh yeah he moves to Villa and the wheels fall off
Re: Leicester vs Villa
These big spenders seem to pay the price, as they dilute their squad.
Re: Leicester vs Villa
Had a quick look at Villa's website, and they seem to think there won't be a problem if they go down. They can sell the best players (Grealish, McGinn, Mings) for a combined £130m to £180m, pay off debts, spend £100m more on new players, and challenge for the top two. I think they may have an unpleasant surprise or several!

I know 8 Villa fans and they all predicted a top 10 finish which "would do for the first season back" and relegation for us
I'm quite enjoying speaking to them at the moment !!!

Re: Leicester vs Villa
Hope Villa go down. Splashing the dosh and no faith in the squad that got them up. Done a Fulham. Norwich are a nice club and play lovely football, but sadly they are down. United seem to have kept faith with their squad and it's paid dividends. Never heard of most of their squad before they came up. Billy Sharp a Premier League striker eh? Who'd have thunk it? Shame for Norwich though. Fair play to their board as well though. They haven't panned Farke when other clubs would have. They see the bigger picture.

Re: Leicester vs Villa
Villa were poor last night and looked odds on for relegation. Their defence is crap and their manager clueless. Smith keeps changing his formation one week he plays a back 4 and next week a back 3, as he learnt nothing from Sean Dyche. You never change your shape.
Mings looked clueless, as did Grealish. They made Leicester look good who certainly are not a top 4 side

Re: Leicester vs Villa
TC You are going to have to explain this one to me. My definition of a top four side would be one that has been in the top 4 for most of the season, are currently eight points clear of fifth place and don’t have an outstandingly tough run in. I acknowledge that their form recently has been indifferent and they lost to Norwich, but now Vardy is back and scoring they should hold on to their CL spot.Top Claret wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 8:03 amThey made Leicester look good who certainly are not a top 4 side

Re: Leicester vs Villa
Sky pulling the usual crap this morning claiming the penalty wasn't.
They pick the best camera angle to suit them, freeze frame it when the ball is clearly on his shoulder (in 2D), and then abstain from moving the picture on 10 frames, to the actual point of contact, where it clearly hits Mings arm, after he stuck it out.
Do they really think the general public is that naive.
