Ken Moran
One for the older members and non-league followers methinks.
Friend of mine who is a plastic Liverpool fan (switched from City as he gets all blurry eyed about the Colin Bell days) hails from Fleetwood. He watches us regularly on TV in Canada. He reckons Jeff Hendrick looks and plays like the titled name. Who used to play for Fleetwood.
Anyone remember this player? I'm guessing it was in their non-league days.

Yeah. Can't say I had ever heard of him. Being 72 and a non league player at best may explain a lot. This Ken Moran is the uncle on the paternal side of a friend of mine. The Liverpool/Man City fan is his uncle on t'other side. Uncle and nephew are both friends.ralphdpomeroy wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 3:17 pmHe is 72 now ...

I don't know much about Fleetwood pre-league. Wasn't until I looked him up earlier I realised it was probably when they were in the 9th tier or something.

Re: Ken Moran
To be fair given his age he probably played in the NPL at some point which would be one step below the FL pre 1979 and only two afterwards ...they had a Moran playing into the early 80s .I will have seen him play in all probability but I've seen a lot of north west non-league over the years and the memory is fading nowClaret32yrs wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 4:24 pmYeah. Re: Ken Moran
Yes ...Fleetwood have a complicated history they've gone bust and reformed twice since the 70s but he would have played at non-league level 1-3 depending on the time
