He will have been in contact with all of arsenals team. All of whom will have been in contact with plenty themselves.

Six degrees of separation means likely most premier league clubs will be affected if arteta is.

F1 in Australia was called off at similar short notice. Wouldn't surprise me. Let's see. They might limp through this weekend in part. It's a confused situation and difficult decision for decision makers in all industries.

Amended. You're right, the "surely" should have been in the title.

Arsenals game and most probably our game with city will be off this weekend due to infections in the first team/first team staff. Leicester’s could be off as well if any of the players isolating are found to be positive. I’d be surprised if any premier league games go ahead at this moment.

That was said a few hours ago. Things at the moment are changing quickly. Don’t be surprised if in less then 24 hours time that message is different.

Just seen that West Ham only have their stadium available until May before it's booked for other events.

Imagine the meltdown if the rest of the season, along with promotion and relegation are cancelled.
Who will take it the worst? Our scouse friends in Liverpool or the supporters of the biggest club in Europe, Dirty Leeds?

As much as I wouldn't want Leeds to get promoted, I wouldn't want to see this happen and I am confident that it wouldn't. If Euro 2021 is delayed then games will be finished throughout the summer with the possiblity of delaying next season and utilising more midweek spots as required.

Burnley wouldn't be very happy as we would lose the money for finishing high up. 20m?

Players out of contract in June. It might force us to give players an extra years contract just to finish the season with a squad?

If they can't play now, then presumably they can't play at all until things get better. And there aren't any reasonable forecasts that I can see that say that will be before the end of summer. If they can't going to follow the government's "carry on as normal" policy, then they can't finish the season.

Maybe they will finish the season in Autumn, if it becomes possible, and then play a half-season with only 19 games instead of 38? Restricted relegation and promotion? How extreme are they willing to go?

Imagine if the Liverpool derby is played behind closed doors on Monday. Thousands of fans will still turn up at the ground to try and create an atmosphere, so they might as well be inside.

Prior to all seater stadiums there was little if any segregation in Liverpool Everton games as everyone gets on well. Imagine if fans gathered outside at a Utd City game or between Arsenal Spurs though. There would be mayhem.

That's why postponement is a better option than playing behind closed doors. The police are going to have enough on their plates without trying to control fighting fans.

I suspect all those events are no longer set in stone and when it comes to re-arrangements organisations will be more accommodating anyway.

That seems to be the logic, get to the international break and then reassess, whether the situation will improve in that time who knows, but i don't see any other viable options in the short term.
