Yes, they're definitely in the vulnerable age group.

I’m off to SLF today for SLF tomorrow in Brum.

We will see.... it’ll be beer, punk and curry or it’ll be beer and curry.

Win win.

Thing is, I was at The Palace Theatre M/c last night for Elvis Costello and it went ahead.

Similar age group for both artist(s) and audience alike as it would be for The Who.

I’m not sure that’s a genuine cancellation. I said after the last time they tried that I won’t get fooled again....

I thought yesterday afternoon Nicola Sturgeon had announced that Scotland would not be allowing
indoor events bigger than 100 people, and outdoor above 500 people to go ahead as from next Monday?

So in effect your Glasgow gig was cancelled yesterday.

Pete Townshend was asked why they hadn't cancelled earlier and he said; "I can't Explain. I've been out of my Brain on the 5.15'. Also, My Generation are at risk, but The Kids are Alright, I think".

Weird coincidence that we have a thread on The Who - I've been listening a lot over the last few days to the magnificent Quadrophenia. Still one of the most musically exciting albums ever. Second only in their catalogue to Who's Next (in my opinion). Can't quite get with seeing them now though, they were all about energy and raw power live (saw them back in the 70s before Moon died - what an experience), and it would be such an anti-climax I think. Sad but true I believe. Also Daltrey's amazing voice, so full of passion and energy, is not the same as it was then (obviously). I really wouldn't know what to expect.

Daltrey has put in some amazing vocal performances over the years (his scream at the end of Won't Get Fooled Again is blood curdling) but I don't think overall he has bettered his vocals on Love Reign O'er Me from Quadrophenia - stunning.

According to Dr Jimmy, you better you bet your life on this virus, anyone can see for miles that there was no other way to relay it to the Who fans.

Quadrophenia is a great album but yes, Who's Next is stunning. Daltrey's voice sounds almost beautiful on Song is Over. When I was in the band years ago we covered Won't Get Fooled Again and it is far more complex than it seems. Just a great album from start to finish and one of my 'desert island discs'.

Some kid (who must be in his 40's now) that I used to clean tesco with had met Roger Daltrey while he was doing a project for cse. He wrote asking if he could meet him to interview him, as he didn't live too far away.
Daltrey invited him up to his place and spent the day with him showing him his recording studio letting him have a go with the kit and all sorts.
Apparently, he was really genuine and did his best to help the kid get a high grade.

Meaty, Beaty, Big and Bouncy. Only Who album I had, so can’t compare to Who’s Next.

Not quite the 'whole tour postponed'... saw them in Kingston just a couple of weeks ago at their smallest gig for 40 years :P

Absolutely brilliant mate. Moon did the production on the violin at the end apparently as well.

Well I hope this blows over in the summer, we have tickets for Steve Hackett in November and Genesis in December.
