Last Burnley goalscorer of the 20th century
I think many will know the answer is Andy Payton who scored all three in a 3-2 home win against Oxford. Payts also scored our first goal of the 21st century too at Chesterfield.
But who was the last player to score a league goal for Burnley in the 20th century who did NOT go on to score for us in the 21st century.

He scored all his goals after the millenium - didn't sign for us until 2000

Don't know but the way the world is going Chris Wood could be the last Burnley player to score for us in the 21st century!!
Re: Last Burnley goalscorer of the 20th century
Was it the great man Lennie Johnrose ?
Or Gordon Armstrong ?
Thought at first it might have been Ronnie “the closer” Jepson but he scored later on in that season in the year 2000.

Didn't we beat someone 4-2 with goalscorers Ronnie Jepson and John Mullin in the December? If so, it would be Mullin I think.

I think most of the credit should go to ashtonlongsider for that answer, to be fair.

Ha Ha. Forgive me but think I must have had an obsession with Nick Pickering. However in these challenging times I think I deserve at least half a point

That was a brilliant goal indeed from Ally.
As for Nick I don’t think he could kick it that far.
Watching Nick Pickering play in a 2-0 away defeat at Leeds Road - Huddersfield’s old ground - in 40 years of watching Burnley I am struggling to think of a worse performance than his that day....mostly because he just could not be bothered to try
