If you stop using toilet paper & just wipe with your finger... you are more likely to wash your hands & less likely to touch your face.

The British psyche is weird,Italy have had a much higher infection rate and deaths than us so far(now this could change in the coming weeks)but on the news report earlier they were calmly queuing outside the supermarket,to go in individually,and they were only purchasing what they required.

It's always the same in this country,if you get a hint of a snowflake,people dash out and buy like crazy,even though many will already have cupboards and freezers full of items at home.i just hope all the supplies they've bought are utilised,and don't end up in the waste bin,but i won't count on it.

• a nurse working on the front line all day is reduced to tears outside a supermarket because she cannot get produce to make a meal for herself at the end of a shift
  a guy filmed and interviewed while out socialising thinks it's fine for others to isolate but not him.

Tesco was madness this morning, so got what I could and then went to my local Greek Supermarket. No problem getting surface cleaner, washing up liquid etc.

As it's only a short walk down the road I can go there in the middle of the night to get bread & milk etc.

That's what I've been doing. Shopping at the local mini-market, greengrocers and cafe. They haven't been out of anything that I've needed, that seems to be out at the larger supermarkets.

They're doing a few things just to keep shelves full to prove to the great British fucktard population there's not a problem. My outfit has some excess trunking capacity. Snapped up by a couple of the main supermarkets. That plus easing of some restrictions and simplifying their product lines should do it.

I have seen tweets comparing us and Italy now as well as jtv says we are 2/3 maybe 4 weeks behind Italy Etc the comparison would be fare if they were all calm then when you also take into account they are in total lockdown. If I could hazard a guess Human nature being generally consistent they will have had panic buying on a grand scale as well just a few weeks ago things will also calm down here as well in a week or so.

True that. Reading all the articles on Italy, we're exactly the same. The idea people are so different around the world is nonsense. Their disbelief, panic, grief and acceptance is just two weeks ahead in the cycle, that's all.

Anyway, the supermarket was full to the brim today. Panic buying seems to be on the wane.
