The BBC rumour page has a report that has originated in the Daily Star, suggesting that Chris Wood is being considered as a replacement for Aubameyang.

This has stemmed from talkSPORT. Thursday afternoon they had a stats expert on and he suggested arsenal sign wood as he has similar stats to a younger Giroud.

Someone’s obviously heard it and made 9 out of 2 plus 2.

You’re probably correct and it’s not true, but is it really that ridiculous that one of our strikers is linked with another team.

Arsenal are pretty ordinary at the moment, and Wood is a good striker.
