As good as Conroy was Super JF was better in MHO, plenty of assists, great goals and shades of Kindon. One endearing memory is that awful shirt we had , perhaps it put the opposition off so much they couldn't cope with it.

He went to PNE then Fulham. I was in the stand for one of our usual stuffings down there, would have been 1997 or 98 I guess and Conroy was sat to my right. I think he was out injured. I know he moved to Australia and lives near Melbourne now. Usually active on FB but I have not seen him on there for some months. And for anyone thinking John Francis was a better player than Conroy in the 92 season, give your head a wobble. He was the best striker we had had for quite sometime.Foreverly Claret wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 7:53 amI watched it...great viewing and happy memories.
