Re: Barley is closed
Barley is a great day out when the pubs are shut.
Brilliant countryside, great views, nice park, plenty of picnic area to choose from and no restrictions on parking either.
Top tip - If you get there early you can normally park in a space closer to Pendle Hill which saves you a few yards.

Can't say it in words tim?
If the frogman comes back on I'm gonna ask him why he's slurring the good name of Burnley.
If you want to challenge what I've posted tim that's good, but Ive concluded from your posts in the past that you are a bit of a jack the lad who doesn't want to get too deep into issues.

Sorry longside, I like tim_
It's those emojis people use that get my back up. God gave you a tongue to use ( I'm sure that can be translated for social media)

Born and bred in Burnley, so I’ll spurn the name of anyone there if I’d like too. Also live inside the M25 and now bemused by your previous ‘blame it all on the Londoners’ post. But hey Liz, everyone’s entitled to their opinions. Enjoy your lockdown.....

You left Burnley frogman so save all the born and bred stuff for your new friends. Most of us stayed in the town and know we are good people. I think you should remember that

What would be a great surprise is for eddie, head of English, great adventurer, man who doesn't need money, to come back on a resurrected thread to give me a clue why he chose to bring up a post I made in March, when it is now the eve of August, nearly half a year later.
Over to you eddie and I know your ego won't be able to resist. One request though , words not emojis

Night eddie, probably a big climb for you tomorrow
Re: Barley is closed
Anyway back to Barley, I am enjoying it so much decided to kip in the car. The staffies having a great time chasing sheep, same again tomorrow but hopefully less locals about grumbling about parking.

Re: Barley is closed
Sorry but this is complete nonsense. A socially distant walk where the closest person you meet is minimum 5-10 metres away, compared to the pubs, shops & restaurants is completely safe.BabylonClaret wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 11:23 pmIf there was ever a case for the average person in Britain being a co.plete moron (and a selfish one at that) this is it. We've had a week of locusts stripping shelves bare and now deciding that walking in the country might be a decent idea despite never really doing rhat at all before.
And as for the "50 cases in Lancashire" wake up. Without action that will be 50000 in a month with around 500 of them dead and 10000 in hospital meaning the 500 dead will probably be more from people who need that care normally- strike victims, heart attacks, cancer care - they will all be collateral damage as well if we don't nail this ****** down
Sounds like your bitter and don’t want anyone to enjoy the area because you claim it as your own.
Last time I checked this was a free country, deal with it.
