Barley is a great day out when the pubs are shut.

Brilliant countryside, great views, nice park, plenty of picnic area to choose from and no restrictions on parking either.

Top tip - If you get there early you can normally park in a space closer to Pendle Hill which saves you a few yards.

If there was ever a case for the average person in Britain being a co.plete moron (and a selfish one at that) this is it. We've had a week of locusts stripping shelves bare and now deciding that walking in the country might be a decent idea despite never really doing rhat at all before.

And as for the "50 cases in Lancashire" wake up. Without action that will be 50000 in a month with around 500 of them dead and 10000 in hospital meaning the 500 dead will probably be more from people who need that care normally- strike victims, heart attacks, cancer care - they will all be collateral damage as well if we don't nail this ****** down

Sorry but this is complete nonsense. A socially distant walk where the closest person you meet is minimum 5-10 metres away, compared to the pubs, shops & restaurants is completely safe.

Sounds like your bitter and don’t want anyone to enjoy the area because you claim it as your own.
