I’d imagine some will be packed with supplies, a large amount of our essentials come from China

Yesterday, here in Singapore, was our worse day for the number of new COVID-19 cases ~ 54 new cases. Of these 54, 48 are "imported" from overseas. Unfortunately, 34 of the 48 had been in the UK (generally Singapore citizens based in the UK but returning to Singapore).

If the govt had stopped flights sooner and had proper checks of incoming arrivals it might have helped. About 2 days ago people were being told not to fly unless they had to. Now people are being told to stay in their homes. Shouldn’t there have been a bigger gap between these two measures. How do you do social distancing on a plane and they are breeding grounds for germs.

As stated above vast majority are air freight ( and eye wateringly expensive atm) Did people seriously thing we’d we’d be waving through 15,000 random Chinese ? Interesting that China’s factory’s only closed for a short time really and most cheap tat is only about 6 weeks behind
