Birchall Foods - we can help out!!

Post by Hopey » Tue Mar 24, 2020 9:54 am

Apologies if this has been posted already?

Don’t know if you knew but my work has opened sales to the public. We have a fully stocked warehouse in Burnley offering a one stop shop of goods, including fresh meat, fruit and vegetables, retail sized tinned products, milk, bread, cheeses, frozen chips and veg, cleaning products and more.

If you'd like to place an order, please call us at 01282 526610. Our sales office is open Monday to Friday 9am - 7pm. Saturday 9am -12pm. You can pick up the day after you order.

Please note, there is a cut off time of 3pm for Fresh or Butchery, to be collected the next day.

Website with price list is now live: www.birchallfoods.co.uk

Thanks for the spot on the link QTT..

We're still running this service:
We’ve put together some top tips for ordering from our Call and Collect service:

1. Take a peek at our website to see what we sell; https://www.birchallfoods.co.uk

2. Write down your normal shopping list, as you would if you were going to the supermarket - we will help you when you call with pack sizes and availability.

3. Give us a call on 01282 526610 between 8am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday and 9am and 12pm on Saturday. If you want fresh fruit or butchery items, make sure it’s before the 3pm cut off.

4. Pick a collection time slot over the phone.

5. Relax!

6. Come pick up your items.. (or a friend or neighbour can pick up for you). Our address is Cobalt House, Magnesium Way, Hapton, Lancashire, BB12 7BF

7. Press the buzzer at the agreed time, state your name and you’ll be asked to park up. Open your boot and get back in your car.

8. Get your debit or credit card ready.

9. One of our lovely people will load your boot, shut it, take payment and away you go.

Looks very good, Hopey. Sadly - bit too long a journey from Cornwall!

Daylight robbery. Are these the normal prices or is profiteering a general practice at Birchall foods?

You do realise those are multi packs they seem quite reasonable to me. How does it work if you want only 4 tins of beans ?

Prices are quite reasonable, but there is a £50 minimum spend. I only want a bag of bread flour or two, not start my own bakery!

I thought prices were reasonable and I'd have used them had they been able to deliver

I don't live local or I'd certainly be placing an order.
It's times like these that I'd rather pay a little extra to keep a local business going as opposed to handing over my cash to Tesco or similar. Tesco will be there in 12 months time, and would not be happier than see somewhere like Birchall Foods go out of business.

How company's make a profit when buying off them I'll never know, it's the same con as fuel cards. Asda Tesco etc etc are cheaper per item than this company
