Sorry but Can anyone clarify. Will the club give a full refund of all DD payments should you cancel before the 20/21 season start date is confirmed?
Coeus.
I asked virtually the same question 5 posts up from yours. I've emailed the club and will let you know tomorrow if I get a reply.

Not sure they could have done much more
Think they could have suspended any money being taken. A bit of a disgusting move by the club in such a crisis. Personally I pay the club over 3.5k a year and will have no issues getting my corporate tickets back. But to treat the loyal supporters giving the last pennies in such a time when people are laid off. Reeks a bit to me, they should just pause everything considering what the world is facing. Reeks of greed.

They have extended the deadline and given those who have paid the option to cancel. Not sure where the greed is.

Just pause all payments let people resume once things return to normal. Will the seats be offered 1st to the cancelled ticket holders. Or is it a fear cancel the DD and you may lose it.

I think the club should offer the seats back to cancelled tickets first when the time comes and this should be made clear.

Pay up front or continue to pay for nothing is greed.

They have extended the deadline after a lot paying by direct debit will have cancelled before last Friday.

I'm told the seats will be held on reserve after 31st March - when a cut off date comes for that, the club will presumably announce it.

Everton have offered the possibility of a payment holiday for direct debit payments until June.

I would have thought it's a simple thing to implement. Our gym ( and it's a national operation) did it 2 weeks ago. I think BFC and other clubs will follow suit.

My gym managed it last week, it's a small independent of 4 branch's.
Not difficult to arrange at all.

Will your gym have the same number of subscribers as BFC ?

Easier just to leave it as is, less hassle for bfc staff.

I have had to contact the ticket office via email to arrange for my mate to relinquish his seat
for next season and for it to be transferred to my partner before 31st March.

They have been bloody fantastic - very helpful, very prompt and extremely accommodating.
A few exchange of emails, one 'phone call and all is sorted. All we need now is some footy to watch.

No complaints on my part.

No, but I reckon BFC won't have as many as Everton or Brighton. What's your point?

I’ve always found the ticket office really good too - had an issue recently myself and somebody called Rachel could not have been more helpful.

This is really not about the ticket office though - it’s the club and their finance / banking department. You asked above about the number of members at the other posters gym - that is really irrelevant as to how you do this. Everton will have far more season ticket holders than us and they are doing it and a mortgage provider suspending payments for 3 months could have more customers on their file than all the season ticket holders put together in the league....and they are all doing it to.
If there is any reason the club are against doing this then in my view it is financial and not operational.

This afternoon I have sent this email below.
I have now had a friendly email back saying yes your assumptions are correct, your DD's have been cancelled.
Plus I have to keep an eye out on the website for news for the new Early Bird deadline.
Sad sad day.

25/03/20
Dear Ticket Office,
Further to yesterday's emails between us below.

I notice BFC have taken March 2020's payment today.
I assume today's payment now completes my payments for the 19/20 season?
Furthermore, I assume that I will be able to attend the last 5 matches of this season,
whenever and if ever these matches are played?

The Chancellor does not seem to be able to offer any urgent assistance to Agency workers
even though they have paid PAYE and NI for this current tax year up until last Friday.
Therefore, I am left with no other option but to ask you to cancel my direct debits
for the season tickets attached to the 2 following Clarets Numbers.
XXXX YYYYYY 987654

YYYY XXXXXX 123456

I will today ask my bank to do the same.
I further assume that my seats will be held in reserve and that I will now be placed on the
Early Bird cash payment scheme and that my cash lump sum will become payable when the club
announce when the Early Bird deadline is ending.

If all my assumptions are correct can you carry out this cancellation urgently?

I look forward to your emailed confirmation that this has been done.

Yours

Good point, well put.

I was just being a bit arsey I suppose, as I had had such a fantastic experience today with
the ticket office, and I didn't agree with the perceived criticism.

Cheers

What makes it even better G, is that she comes from a long line of mainly Rovers supporters.

I am not having a go at the ticket office staff.

Its those at the top who are making the decisions.

What’s happened to all these supporters liasion groups we hear about.

All companies are making adjustments for people in these desparate times. Mortgage holidays , utilities compnany, credit card companies, Sky TV letting you suspend subscription to Sky Sports Racing TV letting you suspend subscription yet PL clubs continue as if nothing is happening.

Sounds like they have taken SD ‘s mantra literally
“we dont listen to the outside noise”

Right the final dd payment came out today, so this season is all paid up now for everyone. Now with the 4 games that we fell short of this season & zero chance of them being played with fans there, the club should give all fans a 3 month dd break & the money owed back for the 4 games we missed we be deducted from next seasons ticket, which will cover april/may/june dd payments.

I hope we can follow Brighton's example and donate a number of season tickets to the NHS.

Now, that would be a nice and very worthy thing to do.

Season tickets - direct debit

Post by Fez » Fri Mar 27, 2020 12:26 pm

Apologies if I have missed it, are we just continuing to pay the direct debit for season tickets for the time being? Been a bit busy with work and haven't seen anything as of yet.

Nice one

To be fair, we don't really know that for certain, as the 1st payment for next season is not
due out until April. Admittedly they have taken this month's payment (the last one for the
current season) without there being any sign yet of any football being played again on t'Turf.

There's time for them to come up with a plan yet, fingers crossed.

Are we expecting the next payment on the 25th April to be taken? A statement from the club would be nice, as we already paid up for last season & the next payment due is for the 20/21 season.

The club did make a statement on it stating that payment would be taken as normal.

Although it might be a bit tight, I want my payments taking over the most number of months possible so that the amount is as low as possible. A 3 month payment holiday just means that my monthly payments will go up. Season tickets always used to be total money upfront to get maximum funds in early, now the direct debit means I don’t have to do that.
