Championship manager 01/02

This is an appeal to anyone who may have the disk going spare that I can bortow/have
I used to love this one, and would love to revisit it.

I dont want the new up to date one, I've tried the 2017 one but it's too in depth and time consuming for me.

I prefer the press and play option, and rattling off a season in 4 hours or so.

It's the one where

Mike Duff is a world class RB, and Maxim Tsailko scores bag fulls.

I played a 4 1 3 11

Ps please feel free to leave your 1-11 or favourite players from the game

Its a long time ago so dont remember loads but a few I just to sign on top of Duff

Flood- Striker - Stockport
Milne - Striker - ???
Challis(Sp) - Def - Bristol Rovers - they had 2 or 3 good defenders/midfielders I used to sign immediately
That Millwall kid who everyone singed - was it Sambo or Chambo or sommat
Use to get an Egyptian CH - maybe called Said
Sure I used to get a Scottish midfielder who ended up playing for us a few years later

Used to play 4-3-1-2 as Burnley with I think Dave Collins starring behind the strikers

No wonder I got a sh*t degree wasting hours playing that when I wasnt out getting wasted

No not needed. Just download from the link. You will download a zip file called CM0102. Double click it and you will open a disc image file called CM0102. If you double click that, it will open and there will be a list of files. Double click the application called autorun and it will install. Once installed, go back to the FM Scout webpage and download the version 3.6.89 patch that will allow you to run the game without errors on modern machines.

Even with an original disc you would have to do some of this unless you machine is an early 2000 vintage.

Starting playing after a good few years without playing. Swindon Town 2nd place finish, missed out to Leeds on goal difference, a UEFA cup win and a Champions League final, got beat off Ac Milan 3-0 because all my players were 70% fitness after a long hard season. Some great players on there, signed Kaka from Brazil not sure of the team and made a massive profit 40 million after 1 international appearance lol. To Madeira got 150 league goals for me then left on a free to Man Utd. Great game and can fly through a season if that’s your thing, unfortunately don’t have a spare though pal.

CM03/04 was the one i got fully addicted to. I still have a laptop thats over 10 years old which i use to play it on occasion. This was the last one before it split into footy manager and champ manager.

Will be playing it tonight with my flatmate and probably make it to the modern day in a week or so!

you can buy it online from cex https://uk.webuy.com/search?stext=champ ... %2001%2002 but if you have am odern laptop it probabl will struggle to play so maybe follow the poster above's advice first before forking out!

I'll give this a go, let's see if it works.

On side note, we could all start a game with Burnley, and see how we all do...

Anyone up for it?

I don't know what you did wrong, but it wasn't due to my instructions.

I've installed it on two machines today, my suspicion is you didn't read properly and therefore didn't double click the autorun application.

But whatever, don't mention it.

It looks as though I'm in here, whoop whoop.

I hope we can get a few players on board that want to play, if so will start a thread to keep up to date, swap players and check each others progress.

Ps I was a whizz at this my tactics and hidden gems throughout the league are deep

Is that for in depth game?

Does anyone elses have Aghahowa on who's a winger, Chiotis GK or Mark Kerr CM from Falkirk...

Think I'm on not as in depth game, or I've downloaded it wrong.

I can’t believe we’ve got this far without tonton zola moukoko and Cherno Samba up front. Etherington on the wing was an early buy too.

No I didnt, I'll start new game and see.

You interested in a Burnley off? If I get it fully installed with full data.
It was very basic thought something was up as Itransfer listed every player and all had interest in which was rare

Decent players, buy hard to get in first season, then they're not good enough anyway if you're doing well in season 3.
Them contracts are hard as they never resign and go unprotected

Nope tried again, still cant find

Chiotis greek
Aghahowa Nigerian
Mark Kerr scottish
Kim Kallstrom sweedish
Jonas Lunden sweedish

Can you find those on your game?
I must have done it wrong, it's like a skeleton basic game without mantly foreign players it used to have.

If you have those and I dont it must be something I'm doing wrong, especially if Enty, Bordeaux etc have them :-(

If you are starting as Burnley the the Swedish U21 or is it U23 is not a bad place to look. I seem to remember a half decent Icelandic striker beginning with H that was b good. Also Peterborough has a few good early signings.
