I don't think the majority opinion is that Trump is doing a good job.
At the next presidential election, you could well be proven right aggi.

Just over a weekend ago I said America would suffer the most from covid

Nonsense apparently

Apparently “wishful thinking” even though I have seen the fear in people’s faces and wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy

unfortunately it seems America will suffer the most
Typical liberal post. All emotion but short on facts:
1. No mention of China's death rate from the Wuhan virus. Why do you trust the Chinese Communist Party's figures? A charitable interpretation would be that you're very naive.
2. Let's put that photo in some context. For more than 150 years Hart Island has been used as a burial site for deceased people with no next of kin to claim them. I believe that there are an additional 25 people a day being buried there
3. Basic maths are n't your strong point. The US has a population approximately 5/6 times larger than Italy but 20500 deaths as opposed to Italy's 19500 victims.

What is up with you ?

He did not post or mention the photo.

Neither did he mention China.

He said that America would be worst hit - currently that is a fact.

You come across as a pretty unhinged type of person. I’m sure there are other forums more suited to your Stars and Stripes flag waving.

I think we both know what I was referring to aggi. Not Trump, but a gentle reminder of you consistently being on the losing side of EU parliamentary elections, General elections and referenda.

Every time I see text written in small print like that, I think it’s the equivalent to someone finally mustering up the courage to quickly call you a naughty name and then running off giggling with their hand over their mouth.

You’d be sort of left thinking ‘what a little pussy’, or something like that. If the cap fits...

If you have to explain a joke then it possibly wasn't worth it.

Although if you're suggesting I'm never proven right after I've just said you're not the same poster as Elizabeth or Kater then you've landed yourself in a bit of a dilemma.

But aggi, read back at our little exchange. My explanation wasnt of a joke on my part. It was it was a confirmation of that we both knew the point I was making and, indeed, it was you that had shown a sense of humour and I was complimenting on your retort. The joke was yours not mine.

Also, the serious point I was actually making. Was one of you always being on the losing side when it came to election/ referendum results.

Just simply realising that I'm neither Elizabeth nor Kate R, is nowt to do with being on the winning side, for once. It just shows you're not a paranoid idiot, like some on here. You may be many things aggi, but a paranoid idiot you definitely are not!

There you go , another compliment aggi. I hope your happy to take one this time!

Keep well and stay safe.

I'm not usually as blunt as this but Uwe Noble can **** right off with his American internet argument talking points. We're British; you don't just shout "liberal" on here as though the term is pejorative and pat yourself on the back for it. We don't do that in this country. Rubbish as this board can be at times, it isn't the vilest cesspit on the internet and can occasionally be interesting when people actually take to thinking for themselves. This place is better without poundshop Ben Shapiros and alt-right contrarians making idolatrising, public displays of quasi-religious devotion to their tribal cause. We aren't as invested in the bloke one way or the other over here, nor are we as deeply entrenched in the culture war b0llocks. Go away you bloody weirdo.

I'm not going anywhere. You can abuse as much as you want, I'll stick to the facts. I did n't start this thread by the way. Finally, I'll merely note that those who preach love and tolerance (notably liberals aka Guardian readers) suddenly become the most intolerant and prtty when their views are challenged. So put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Final death toll of 16693 then, as easter has now passed and big don promised to have cv19 beaten by now.

Not bad limiting it to less than 17k in such a big country. Bravo, Donald. USA! USA!

Trumps press conference last night was worth staying up for. I thought , I’ll give it ten minutes, then another half hour went by. The “total control” bit seems to have done him some damage according to this mornings reports. If you missed it do watch the whole 1 hour plus it goes on for without a commercial break. His own ego knows no bounds.

I haven't read the thread but I am interested to know what the obsession is with Trump.
I mean I know the bloke comes across as an absolute blowhole but it's the same on Facebook and Twitter in that people seem obsessed either way with him. Why?

Surely there are plenty of other pricks as world leaders to single out who do far worse/better but it just seems crazy that everyone has this meltdown about another countries leader.

I agree. There's Joe "Mr Magoo" Biden for a start. He's the one who has been reported for a sexual assault which the Media are doing their best not to report.
