Re: Donald Trump
I think Trump can fire him but Barr cannot. I believe it went something like this
- Barr says Berman is leaving
- Berman says Barr doesn't have the authority to fire him and he's not leaving
- Barr releases a letter saying he has asked the president to fire Berman and the president has done so
- The president says he's not involved and it's up to Barr
Sounds like Barr and Trump haven't got their ducks in a line on this one but from what I can make out Trump is telling the truth and Barr is in the wrong (albeit doing Trumps dirty work)
Edit: This was in answer to Vegas' question

well done, you've learned how to use the quote function !
The irony of a Trump fan saying someone can't speak is as hilarious as Zaha complaining to the ref today that a Bournemouth player went down to easy
and fwiw I agree with you about what is going on in Seattle
Re: Donald Trump
Holy cow we agree about something. Maybe there is still a small chance our country might survive 2020

When Trump got in I wasn't overjoyed but I thought that it would be interesting to see if he would actually do what he said he would in terms of "cleaning the swamp" - that would have been the best thing for the country imho, instead he's made it incomprehensibly worse and he is going to get his ass handed to him in November.
Re: Donald Trump
We will see. Right now it is Biden’s to lose. But It was also Hilary’s to lose last time !!

Re: Donald Trump
Big difference I think this time around, I genuinely don't know a single person who voted for Hilary because she was a Clinton - too much has gone on in the last 4 years for him to win I think unless complacency sets in and people don't vote. I don't see that happening either though. Still ******* abysmal though that a country with so many talented people have only Trump or Biden to choose from

Fair enough. My big issue is that this country is so divided ( mainly caused by the media) that we are a sitting duck for the likes of Russia and China. If we as a country cannot pull together in the current situation then we have zero future. I asked some Democrat friends which they would prefer. A strong economy/ no Covid / and Trump re-elected or a major recession, 250000 plus Covid deaths and Biden elected ? Guess what they chose ???Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 12:49 amBig difference I think this time around, I genuinely don't know a single person who voted for Hilary because she was a Clinton - too much has gone on in the last 4 years for him to win I think unless complacency sets in and people don't vote. the country will never come together when you have such a divisive person as it's President - he just can't help himself I'm afraid. Why tweet all week that this rally is going to be the biggest every etc, he sets himself up for a fall every single time all by himself - the media don't need to get involved (Fox and CNN are shambolic)FCBurnley wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 1:15 amFair enough. The reason the country is divided is down to two things: a corrupt media who actually hate traditional American values and a Democratic party who will do and say anything to win.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 1:32 amthe country will never come together when you have such a divisive person as it's President - he just can't help himself I'm afraid. Re: Donald Trump
Berman was initially appointed on an interim basis by then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions for a 120-day term.
When the end of that term came without the White House putting forth a nominee, the judges of the federal district court in Manhattan voted to appoint Berman to remain in the job. As a result, under federal law, he can serve until the Senate confirms a Trump nominee
I would have expected you to know that then I remembered that you are clearly a Republican and so by default have a problem with facts

Re: Donald Trump
Just for a little bit of context here in terms of fairness, there were **** loads of live streams (especially from Washington, New York and L.A) that I watched when people were rioting and destroying - 98% of that was done by young white males, then the locals took advantage and did the looting. The fire in Washington on the first night for example I watched, in live team, being started !! There were no BLM protesters in sight, just white males, tooled up with hammers and other tools etc etc.
So, if you are going to come with the BLM are all bad then we end the conversation here because you are undoubtedly getting your info from the media which is 99.9% incorrect.
As to your question, destruction of property is stupid, ripping down statues of racists is perfectly valid - remind me where in Germany they have statues of Hitler and Goebbels ?

It's all quiet in the away end at Wigan too. 1-0 v rovers.

Here's 10 more. Please feel free to add your own
Wagon trains, college football on Saturdays, nfl Sundays, segregation, buying sports tournaments, invading small counties in the name of democracy while having very little of that themselves, exporting rubbish food and rubbish TV, detroit lions being shyte, assassinating black leaders, using God as an excuse for all manner of prejudices and atrocities.
