What are you going on about?

Trump isn’t a facist or doing facist things. He’s playing up to his supporter base like all politicians do. He hasn’t oppressed anyone or dictated anything. In fact if you looked a little harder he’s actually done quite well harbouring peace with hostile nations/leaders.

No one cared 2 hoots about Trump until he was a threat to the establishment when he was running for president.
That’s when the smear campaigns started. Yes Trump is no angel, but he isn’t the devil reincarnated that his opponents would make you believe either.
An authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization. The term Fascism was first used of the totalitarian right-wing nationalist regime of Mussolini in Italy (1922–43), and the regimes of the Nazis in Germany and Franco in Spain were also Fascist. ( Oxford Dictionary def of Fascism.) Trump is clearly authoritarian nationalistic and right wing. He doesn't have a uniformed movement of supporters but those crowds of vacuous air-headed sh*theads shouting "Lock her up" in 2016 reminded me very much of nazi rallies.

Trump rallies are GREAT. Lock her up!

Should have locked Killary Clinton up with Bill C and Tony Blair for good measure. :P

Still, at least Trump isn't a Communist.

Had to laugh at Trump's explanation for the California fires. ''Bad forest management'', ''it'll get cooler you'll see'' but my favourite, referring to Australia's fires.... '"They have very explosive trees''
That's not so far off the mark. Poor forest management is indeed a leading reason for the severity of major fires. Regular controlled burning of the forest floor fuel/debris is essential to keep the major fire risk low. And regarding very explosive Australian trees, Eucalypts do 'explode' in a big fire and they go up with a fearful roar.

Maybe that's part of the hoax. As well hundreds of thousands of scientists all around the world, all the hottest areas with forests are managed by climate hoaxes who are steadily, year on year, managing their forests worse and worse.

I mean me, personally, I listen to people like Bob Zybach, but how silly am I, I should have been listening all the time to the resident expert about everything, trees do literally explode by the way, but you can probably tell me why they don't. Jut to be absolutely clear I am a big believer in global warming, and it will have contributed no doubt but it's not the root cause

Not mentioned on that far-right "news" website where so many of their writers are outted as white supremacists, only a tiny fraction of the forests in the western US is controlled by the states. Most of the forests are controlled by federal agencies - ie. Agencies that Trump is in charge of.

In case you were unaware, the daily caller is not a reliable source of fact-based information. And because they're more Pro-trump than pro-news you'll find they like to omit inconvenient facts like the fact that Trump controlled agencies are responsible for the majority of the land they're saying is being poorly managed.

Peter, you can go read Bob Zybach on many platforms, you can read his books, he isn't just coming out of the woodwork saying this, so please don't try to portray him as a pro Trump supporter. We all know that the federal agencies control the land and fires, the issue if you read it (and in many other places) is that no one since Clinton took the time to listen, assess and change, including both Republican and Democrat governments. Why, because it was no big deal, well now it is but don't be myopic and try to look beyond your Trump blame game and him being solely responsible for people being killed and many more losing homes/cars/livelihoods, a disaster 30 years in the making.

It's kind of the perfect storm, years of drying out, years of mismanaging the forests and now it's clicked.

If you're asking me I have no idea, I have no idea who he is was and for the record I think it is irrelevant to what he, BZ, believes and what he has said for a long time, however here is an alternative view from a different source that refutes his logic, where he provided the same statements back in 2017.

https://www.thewildlifenews.com/2017/10 ... ommentary/

So you can read and try to come to your own conclusions, I have done that, and I'm pretty sure many on here have also done so with no research beyond the news headlines/highlights and the fact it pertains to Trump, that in itself is reason enough for it all to be his fault.

Additionally, and just for info, GW also published a book, in 2006 I believe, called Wildfire: A Century of Failed Forest Policy, so in reality, while both don't agree on the actual cause and effect they do agree with the point that both believe it is the failed policy's that go way beyond just Trump.

In reading both and some of my own thoughts I just tend to think blaming Trump is an easy way out and allows some posters to jump on the bandwagon of the main thrust of this thread from day one.

We were told on here that he wouldn't win the first election.
Then he'd be out of office by the end of his first year.
That he'd be thrown out for corruption.
He's a Russian spy.
He'd ruin the country.

Several other things too, mostly by Turtle who will probably cry if Trump gets in again and that makes it worthwhile all by itself.

Oddly Trump still has a 43% approval rating.

Now I'm not saying Trump is any good, or isn't in cahoots with the Russians, but he still seems fairly popular.

Neither do I. Just tell me how it is, with C-19 cases on the rise in the UK, hospitals are almost empty. Only one statistic counts - the death rate. And FROM C-19, not WITH it.

You just knew that when turtle returned under his new name the Trump thread was going to prove too hard for him to leave alone.

We are a few days at most from a full on rant at someone complete with 4 or 5 words a sentence in asterisks, telling someone how dumb they are and how intelligent he is. Tick tock.

I think most people are smart enough to discern opinion from statements of fact. I know some people like to pretend they're not in order to avoid dealing with the opinions or facts offered, but I'm not interested in wasting time with those people, Kate.

He is very popular among the worst kind of people, and there are a lot of those people, unfortunately, which is why even if he loses in November it isn't going to be the end of fascism in America.

If he does win though it won't be a democratic victory give how ratfucked the electoral system is by the Republicans pre-2016 they were bad, and 2016 was even worse because it was the first since the conservatives gutted the voting rights act, but this year its going to be on a whole new level now that Republicans are once again gonna be allowed to intimidate voters at polling stations.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.thegua ... ld-tactics

The republicans can't fairly win a presidential election. This is why election models don't favour Biden to win until he wins the popular vote by 3 or 4 points. And in a popular vote tie none of them think Biden can win. Democrats need landslides just to guarantee victory.

And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.” - Orwell.

He defends Putin though so he clearly is in cahoots with them.

That's sadly true.
It's also the scariest aspect of the mess that's USA just now.

I think most people are smart enough to discern opinion from statements of fact. I know some people like to pretend they're not in order to avoid dealing with the opinions or facts offered, but I'm not interested in wasting time with those people, Kate.
unfortunately I am one of those people who are not smart enough to know on many of you posts because you are an expert in general sweeping statements that take in whole swaths of people, which in reality makes your posts somewhat redundant as offering anything worth while other than something to critique you on, while offering little to nothing in terms of valuable thoughts that can be considered and may offer an alternative fact.

Your fascist statement being one

This being another: He is very popular among the worst kind of people, and there are a lot of those people.

Furthermore you pontificate with other posters around reviewing and potentially changing your mind when presented with evidence, yesterday I offered you some evidence regarding the fires on the West Coast that might provide some information as an alternative, to your view of Trump being solely responsible. Your failure to respond to alternative evidence speaks volumes

Anyway I realize I am wasting my time as I am clearly going to be one of those you wont be wasting time on in regard to debate.

I haven’t posted in a few years and just tend to read daily to get my Clarets updates but since I have been broad brush labeled as one of the ‘worst kind of people’, I may as well add TRUMP 2020 🇺🇸 to my UTC 👍

I remember that post. I didn't think it was worth responding to because you, for some reason, decided I was blaming Trump for the fires. I try not to reply to people when they make **** up about me. It only encourages them.
