Yep. Great read.

Strange innit when an outsider can watch and see what’s going on and understand why we do things the way we do, when some people from Burnley who watch us week in week out struggle to grasp the concept.

There is also another good read at the link at the end of this article.
Think it says something like...."tortuous journey to Turf Moor".....
The link is a photo of the Chelsea team of 1970. Just click on that.

Had to laugh at this bit in the 1959/60 article:
"Lord was antagonistic, autocratic, argumentative and belligerent and some who had crossed him would say these were amongst his better qualities. "

Just to pick a nit, we didn't beat Leyton Orient in May 1987 - we beat Orient. They changed their name back to Leyton Orient in July that year.

And Dyche, the longest serving manager in the top flight? What happened to Howe - or have Bournemouth been deemed to be relegated when I wasn't looking? ;)

In 2014/15, we only gained 4 points with 4 draws in our first 10 matches and only scored 5 goals as the article says.

The article in the OP is such a good summary of where we have come from and where we are now that I think it should be required reading for any clarets' children as a sort of compulsory "National Syllabus" item . Also to be made available to new partners in order to get them quickly up to speed ! Not often you read something as accurate as that.

Missed out the classic "we shouldn't be losing to this siht" from the bingo card, but very enjoyable nonetheless.
