Heard a lot of them stories before, but there were a few new ones there.
Not fit to lace Waddle's boots? For Burnley he was, and Waddle should have been lacing his boots.

Re: Glen Little...
Just finished both parts of the Clarke Carlisle podcast, absolutely superb, would recommend it, Ian Holloway really stood up and helped Clarke in the QPR days but Kevin Blackwell and Graham Westley sound like right *** but guessing we all could have guessed that anyway.
Re: Glen Little...
Cheers for posting, cheered me up on whats been a dull day.
It really is how you tell them, naturally funny bloke
"Blakey" could have his own show
Super Glenn, you'll always be a claret.

Just finished reading 'The Fallen' - interviews with everyone who used to be in The Fall - Stan definitely the football equivalent of Mark E Smith

Re: Glen Little...
Super Glen is an absolutely natural comical story teller.Really enjoyed the podcast humour at its best.
Glen just accepted Stan for his reckless behaviour.Breath of fresh air in these claiming and compensation times.
Well done Glen you are not only a great footballer but a brilliant relater of comical events in your career.

Re: Glen Little...
Was worried watching that in case i got implicated in the Man City result
I was on work experience that week and all the players were having lunch in the Clarets cafe. Somehow we got talking about football manager (or champ man as it was then) and i said how i played the current burnley side and criticised Stan for not playing Mark Ford.
Little said "fakkin hell he knows better than the gaffer|"
Im 99% sure he was just humouring me, but i cant have helped things.
Sorry all!

Excellent. My favourite ever player
Re: Glen Little...
Loved every second of that, absolutely fantastic, him and Robbie Blake my two favourite players and Glen is such a funny guy, he needs his own show...
I have never been able to find a vid of that amazing Ally Pickering goal, I only ever saw it the once when I was at the Britannia drunk.

Re: Glen Little...
This is brilliant!!!
The time flew bye.
Forget your Crouch Casts etc...
This beats them all. Yes the intro drags a little... but when Little joins the hosts (15 mins in to it) the next hour or more transports you...
Enjoy!

Re: Glen Little...
The intro was dragging after 30 seconds for me so I just fast forwarded to where Glen turned up (which was a lot easier with it being a video).HunterST_BFC wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 6:48 amThis is brilliant!!!

Re: Glen Little...
Morning everybody,
Many thanks to CoolClaret for the lheads up and also to claretfern for the YT link.
Glen was my favourite Claret during his time at TM. He was, of course, best known for his ability to beat his man and deliver great crosses. But he also scored some cracking goals. I hadn't seen some of the goals in the video. There were some damn good ones.

Re: Glen Little...
The second part even if it’s mostly about playing for Reading will also be great.
As Burnley fans we all knew how good he was and we were all gutted when he left but remember Reading were a better team than us then and an ambitious club and he had been very loyal to us for years so this was a big chance for him (no doubt financially too).
He proved to all the non Burnley fans just how good he was at Reading - he was brilliant for them and some of the goals he scored for them were every bit as good as the ones we had watched for years. In their promotion winning season to the Premier League he was arguably their best player scoring a few crackers but also assisting for a load of their goals.

Re: Glen Little...
I strongly recommend anyone that loves footy banter to check out some other episodes - they're brilliant...
Some of my favourites: Ryan Creswell, Leon Knight, Dean Windass, Gary Roberts, Matt Kilgallon...
There's more on their patreon, but that's a paid subscription.
As someone else mentioned earlier, this is proper unfiltered laughter, class podcast!

Re: Glen Little...
Brilliantly funny watch - thanks for sharing!
He really should have a more regular thing going, maybe podcasts or after-dinner speaking.
Some great (and painful, yet funny looking back) memories too. Glen seems to remember a lot of the details well, oppositions, scorers, etc. better than most ex players.
I’m abroad these days so have been relegated to armchair fan but has/does he ever make it back to the Turf for the half-time draw, etc?

After watching Glen's when the original link was posted I have been making my way through the other podcasts on Undr the Cosh whilst at home, I highly recommend the Geoff Horsfield one, possibly the best football stories podcast I have seen.
