Post by THEWELLERNUT70 » Thu Apr 02, 2020 9:49 pm

All now added to Amazon Prime.

It should scratch that football itch for a while. So far I've watched 66,78,82,90

Also Rewind on Burnleys official YouTube channel this Saturday is Blackburn 1 v 2 Burnley. The full 90 minutes and it kicks off at 3PM

Cheers for this - 1982.
My favourite ever World Cup - along with 2006 (you might be able to guess my heritage from that !)

Is the Burnley game on a free channel or is it subscription / connected to claret player ?

The 1966 one is an absolute hoot. Narrated by Nigel Patrick in a very British stiff upper lip fashion, it originally came out as a cinema released film entitled ‘Goal’. It had everything from the Portuguese coming back from being 3-0 down to North Korea to win 5-3 (while the nation had been forced to sit through England v Argentina), players being arrested and escorted off the pitch by police officers and, of course, England winning the World Cup.

It’s free but ClaretsPlayer is also free to join (without match commentary) and is well worth it IMO allowing your to watch all the content
