Half time on the concourse was all doom and gloom. Only highlight was the chicken tikka pie.

I'm incognito in the Jack Walker Stand Upper. I work with a blackburn fan who is actually a really grand lad and has kindly got me a ticket as long as I don't jump up if we score!

We got a nice reception outside the Golden Cup, lots of cheering and waving when the buses went past.

I'm going to take a chicken with me and release it just before the kick off.

We had better win, I've put £10,000 on us to win at 30/1 !!!!

Since 1978 I've travelled up from the South to the place of misery 4 or 5 times:

- sometimes stayed over, before or after depending on kick off time, sometimes driven home same evening/night.
- sometimes travelling there on the enforced and dilapidated noddy bus,
- the match experience: grim.

Every time it's been the same story: a bloody fool's errand.

20 years on, ******** to it, never putting myself through all that again.

wonder if after the match a nobed runs alongside the buses but fails to see the railings ahead........

In the times I have set foot in the cess pit that is BollEwood, I have never given them a penny more than yes price of a ticket. No programme. No pie. No pint. In fact I went there to watch West Ham at the end of 2002, i had to give money to my brother in law to pay the car park attendant as i am not parting with money to someone wearing a Rovers shirt. I made sure when he was giving directions back to the M65 for after the game i told him i knew the quickest way to get away from Ewood, being a Burnley fan.
