I would give that class a miss. No two bands that Iike are paired together. Queen, brilliant but The Stones? Nah

if that was the only choice then 9 but would rather wait for the next set of numbers to see something I really like hopefully.

Some of those bands are world class and easily sell out stadia, others only had one or two decent songs. Stone Roses for instance, I don't get what all the hype was about.

I understand what you are saying; one great album, one ropey one. They were a band who were at the forefront of a scene. Imagine if Oasis had only made Definitely Maybe; they would still have a lot of fans just for that and what was going on at the time.No Ney Never wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 8:10 pmSome of those bands are world class and easily sell out stadia, others only had one or two decent songs. They barely played any live dates at the height of the Madchester era and had already started falling apart when they eventually made and toured the second (and if you watch footage from that era, it is horrific). A lot of people never saw them live, hence the huge demand when they reformed.

Re: Where would you sit
Probably 6.
I'd be able to lean in on 2 and 3 for a natter, although I'd have to shout quite loud to 9 because Mick and the boys are pretty deaf these days.

Re: Where would you sit
be interesting, as this plays out, to see who is sat at which table and look at that against other posts/threads, could be mayhem lol

Elvis and Dusty Springfield?
Re: Where would you sit
Oasis would be godly had they walked away after Knebworth. They must be some jealousy from the Stone Roses towards Oasis, that should have been them.TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 8:18 pmI understand what you are saying; one great album, one ropey one. But music is personal taste. To me the Rolling Stones are the mist overrated bands in history, many fine songs but for me the extra 50 years they’ve had over The Beatles their still nowhere near them.

Between 1 and 7. Probably 7, Morrisey would be a pain but probably lose enough to have a chat with Lennon and John Squire.

If I can have my own table:
Seether and Roy Orbison
Bob Dylan & The Killers
but seated on a swivel chair between the tables so I can switch back and forth
would love the Zeppelin table but not if they are with AC/DC

Re: Where would you sit
Should have a Cocteau twins & a flock of seagulls table, it’d be 1 given the choices. Table 7 would be interesting with morrissey & marr don’t think there get on together or there didn’t. With all the doom & gloom apparent at the moment I’m not sure sitting at a table with morrissey would be the elixir I’d need.
