Perhaps he will appear and restore equilibrium, when Mr Johnson proves to be unable to deliver reality which matches his rhetoric.

Without a doubt!
There would fe great clarity and realism. He knew that at times like this, it is about realism combined with aspiration, rather than fantasy prediction.

I.e. he would have said will can test x people each day currently. We will definitely have y availability by a precise time, however, our aspiration is to ramp up, using every possible means, to z number, by this named date. This last one is where we need to get to, to get on top of the virus and protect those most in contact with others. This is how we plan to try and do this.... It is not guaranteed, however, all are on board and understand their part. They have promised to give it their all and my Government will support them with everything we have. Etc

Under him we actually invested in public services like the NHS, whereas the Tories have spent the last 10 years letting them rot.

Maybe that's just the reality of trying to fund a bottomless pit that is used and abused by many and has whole wards as administration wings.

The people running the NHS also seem to think fancy pictures, decorations and glass etchings along with endless mission statements will actually help people who are ill.

The same `realism` he displayed to the nation when speaking about the death of the Princess of Wales? :?

An absolute fraud of a man. But then, he's a politician... Did you write his speeches? Your quoting of what he `would have` said seems remarkably accurate, especially when you read it in your head in his annoying accent.

There is a theory that the Tory "system" let him win because he was further to the right than the Tories at that time.

Woolley claret, surely everyone is entitled to a fair trial. A basic entitlement in a fair society. Surely you don’t want to live in a country where you are just locked up on a whim or because someone decides to frame you or lies about you.

People seem to forget how good the foot and mouth epidemic was dealt with. Not until the army took over then it got sorted PDQ; a bit like this time with PPE for the front line and quick build of the emergency "hospitals"

How much does a human rights barrister earn? I don’t think it’s very much. And the reason he wasn’t deported right away is because the government’s case wasn’t strong enough. If you want to complain about the waste of money, then blame Theresa May.

Don't disagree but it would be interesting to get a take on how much of a local authority budget goes on patient care.

It isn't just the NHS in real life. lots of businesses are top heavy in admin posts created to satisfy all the admin requirements that have been created byadmin people in made up admin jobs :?
