RIP Bob Nuttall

Post by Jel » Sat Apr 04, 2020 9:06 am

Sadly a life long Claret and friend of many many people has passed away this week.
Bob was funny, generous and a really great character.
My condolences go to his family and huge amount of friends everywhere.
RIP Bob.

So sad and shocked to hear about Bob. Not seen him for some years but we were brought up together as kids and went on the Turf together as a big group all crammed in his dad's Simca. Heartfelt sympathies to Les, Jan and Deborah. A terrible time for them all.

My wife called me in tears to tell me of this sad news on Thursday lunchtime.

Bob was one of the most likeable blokes you could ever meet. His infectious personality would naturally draw you to him. A lifelong Claret and a stalwart of Barrowford Clarets. Our thoughts are with his beautiful wife and daughters along with the rest of his family at this time. The Old Bridge pub and the village of Barrowford will be a lonelier place without this truly decent bloke. RIP Bob x

Yeah lovely guy RIP Bob. Don't know about the cricket but used to play in the Thompson Centre 5 a side league back in the day.

RIP Bob. A great man and a good footballer. We at Trawden Celtic F.C. enjoyed some great tussles against teams with Bob in their side.
Sincere condolences to Bob's family from all at Trawden Celtic F.C.

All of us at Barrowford Clarets are truly saddened by the loss of our great friend. We will miss him on our home bus, in the Old Bridge and on our away trips.Bob was a top sportsman and a very good quizzer,he was a member of the Barrowford Clarets quiz team ,winners of the first BFC in the Community quiz.It will never feel the same going for a drink in the Fanzone and then a bene and hot.As some of you can imagine so many people have posted our own Facebook page and on Barrowford then and now.A Barrowford Legend taken from us far too soon.RIP

Yes I wish to endorse the last few comments. Going on the Turf in the future won’t be the same anymore Bob. Taken far too early and will be sorely missed. RIP Bob.
