Netflix - Contagion

Post by THEWELLERNUT70 » Mon Apr 06, 2020 3:37 pm

A film made in 2011 and pretty much bob on the money for what is unfurling with COVID19.

Well worth a watch imo

I watched it last night thinking "they got this one out quick"! Realised at the end it was an old film - it seems like a pretty accurate prediction now as you say.

Watching it now. It’s uncannily accurate

Watched it last night also. Couldn’t believe how scarily accurate it is to what is happening now from the disease spreading to measures put in place by the US government in the film which we have implemented.

Read an article about this film a fortnight back. It was apparently one of the most "viewed" films online since lockdown started (in France and other European countries). The journo said exactly what has been said above.

Wasn't it shown on ITV recently?

Kate Winslet recently said she knew all about the challenges with Coronavirus as she had starred as a doctor in this film....

Nick Ferrari said people might take more notice of her views had her doctor character had not died 1/2 way through (sorry for the spoiler 🤣) the film

So she survived Titanic and went out to a virus ;) Bad luck follows that girl around.

You really need to watch PANDEMIC on Netflix, documentary filmed in 2019 and, well just watch it.
