you're accepted.

No all scheduled tourneys show as soon as i create them, usually do them a few days before.
Registration is open now, most log on within an hour before the start.

But i like to know rough numbers prior so can try and tailor the game to suit, don't want a 45 minute game if 6 players, similarly a 6 hour game if 20 players

Been getting the games to last around 2 hours so far, so been reasonable value for money and also not to the extreme either way.

Well another successful poker night, 14 entries and prizes of

1st 70
2nd 42
3rd 28

The UTC posters seemed to do well with 2 in the final 3, but couldn't really put a name to the UTC user name.

Cheers all for another good night, hopefully see you Mon/Tue next week, or if not next Friday

Good game. Thx Macca.

Hopefully next time when I get it in on the flop with 9 to 1 odds on the flop it holds...and then stops me from tilting the rest of them off...

Enjoyed it and thanks for organising Macca but think blinds need to be a bit quicker or start with 3k next time cos it was pretty slow going once it got down to last 4 or 5 and Im a bit impatient

Still a very good way to spend the night whilst being locked up inside

My patience is the reason I didn't cash but thought the game length were decent and a good couple of hours entertainment

Yep not moaning it was good but on final table you need blinds to ramp up so the short stacks have to play a bit. It was a bit to easy to sit and wait for a blinder of a hand and hope you get up against another good but slightly worse hand.

Id def play it again with that set up but just a suggestion

Yes we've tried starting with 3k and 10 minute blinds, and also 5k 5 minute blinds.

The hardest bit is getting an estimate who's playing so we really need interest or registration done early.
If theres only 7 - 9 last nights set up seems ok, However if it gets to 14-18 we need it to be quicker blinds like you said.

I thought we would get 10 maximum last night as mo one had show much interest and our usual 4 or 5 hardcore were having BBQ etc.

The only issue is you cant amend anything once the tourney is set up, nor can you pick your payout structure, or blinds to go up faster after x stage. Is a pretty basic structure and all needs setting up at the start.

I have re done tourneys last 30 mins if it looks like the game will be either too slow or way too fast.

A bit of trial and error so far.

Agree its not easy and its better to go to slow and last a bit too long than to just be over too fast

Was a really good number of people and you did well to get everyone together so def no moans from me.

I liked starting with 5k chips and thought the first hours play was spot on as it gave everyone the chance to play and be patient

As you say once its started you cant tweak it cos would have been great to speed it up a bit after one hour and then two hours

Cant play next Fri so might give Tue a go but def hope for this to be a regular thing.

Cheers mate look forward to the next one

Well its had 2 games a week for the last 3 weeks now, with lowest number of players being 7, so with the 5 new players added yesterday hoping to get a steady 10 for most games especially if weather drops off.

Will add a game for mon or Tues today once I've tried to get a rough idea what days better.
We have a poker WhatsApp group so can try and get an idea to maximise players/opinions of best structure.

More than happy to add anyone off here to that but you would need to get admin to get my email address and contact me via email so I can add you if you wish.
We can arrange games far easier that way, but that's each individuals choice.

ADMIN - happy for email to be given to posters on this thread regards poker enquiries.

Is it just the $11 once? I haven’t a clue what the 1x rebuy and 1x 7k odd on mean hahah

$11 to enter but if you lose all your chips in first hour you can reload once for $11. After the first hour you have the option to add 7k chips to your current stack for another $11

So you can play (and win) for just the initial $11 but theres a couple of options you can choose to take if needed that might help you out which entails spending a bit more cash

I dont normally need to rebuy but always use the add on so id prob spend $22 on this tourney

Basically what DA said, we do freezeout games too where once you're out you're out with no 2nd chances.
I try to arrange 2 games a week.

I never rebuy anyway so try to just tailor the games to suit the players.

If you apply to join the club with the details above, I'll accept you with plenty of time to register for tonight.

The next game will be Friday, probably a few more players on friday too.

Well done Tall Paul for the win last night, few amendments for Friday, it's a $11 feeezeout, so hope to see a few more players play.
Usually 8pm start.

The tourney is organised snd on site now, so be good if we get a few earlier registrations, it helps drum up s bit more interest.

Will bump this thread Friday morning.

Nice one Macca. I think that a freezeout is fairer while there are still relatively small numbers entering. The add
-ons killed it last night in my opinion. It was relatively competitive up until that point and then those that added on had almost total control until it was just them left. Small tournament play shouldn't be about who has the most money to buy chips.

Yes I agree, shame its 5.50, 11 or $22, as think a good $15 dollar tourney would suit all.

Will do the rebuy add on games at $5.50 so can be $11 should you so wish, then it's not getting to the point where if you spend $22/$33 you're all but guaranteed to cash.

I never rebuy, but first time in 3 weeks it really decided the game, week before 2 of the 3 paid places went to people who didnt rebuy or add on.

Another great game last night, 17 players joined in, possibly 5 or 6 off here.
Well done the winners.

Have put a game up for Friday 8th May, details below.
Please can you register as soon as you can, so can scope interest, it really does help to balance the game

Time 20:00/8pm UK time
$22 buy in
Freezeout so no rebuys or add ons
5k chips
10 minute blinds

People wanted a bit higher stakes and 1 off bigger game as a few have been paid, will run a $11 one on Tuesday most probably but presume people may wait for the bigger one on Friday so not too much outlay

I'm returning to work Monday so wont be playing much over the next few weeks, certainly wont be playing midweek.
All focus on getting the wheels of life/business back in motion.

There's 3 admins, so one may possibly arrange a game at some point, but not 100%.
Might go quiet for a few weeks in there.

That's why we doing a big Friday one, as we didnt do a midweek game, we might not play for a few weeks, and most people been paid at end of month.

If I hear that they set another game up, I'll post on here so the posters on here can play if they wish.

Did you manage to win last night Macca? Thought the format to start with 5k chips and run it as a straight freezeout worked perfectly with the numbers we had

I did thank you, I came back from the brink.
Was delighted to get 3rd to be honest but had a feeling I'd win it once heads up, played poker perfectly

Yes I agree thought it was a good game, would be perfect with 12-14 players that set up

Well done mate, had a few good head to head all ins in the last 3 but you just had the edge so happy you went on to win
