It is also a sad indictment of football when you see kids getting picked up at U8 level and potentially being rejected at that age. Footy should be fun for kids first and foremost and playing with mates at proper local grassroots clubs with scouting at a later age. So many pushy parents out there and I've heard stories of clubs like Man City just being a talent farm where kids and parents are given false hope only to be discarded when it suits. Such is the desperation by clubs to find the next big thing.

Aye..... you definitely hear stories. And some of them may even be true.

Met his and Ben Woods's parents last summer when they were over here for the tournament. Seemed like good people who seemingly appreciated the more personal approach of Burnley vs the frankly factory farm approach of bigger systems

I knew a couple of them were playing for Stanley a few weeks ago, Matty Carson was the other.
