Re: A Quiz for a Tuesday.... Answers tomorrow.
I'm guessing that
12 is the Philippines.
1 might be rich man given that it was presumably based some decades ago and the secret service lot tended to recruit among the rich at that point.
13 might be Indonesia if sumi people are from sumatra.
Auguste has already been selected. The kiss lived about 10 miles from me up until fairly recently.
8. Not sure some of the suggestions are actually continents. Oceania might count.

Lapland isn’t a country. The northernmost state of Finland with borders to Norway, Sweden and Russia. Wouldn’t know if the Sumi spill over into them also.

Re: A Quiz for a Tuesday.... Answers tomorrow.
13 is essentially Finland. Their tribal lands covered a vast area as they were a nomadic people following the reindeer and other game around the tundra. That area is now ruled politically by the countries named by Tricky Trevor above. The Finnish word for their country is Suomi.
Edit: Wikipedia says, "The Sámi people (/ˈsɑːmi/; also spelled Sami or Saami) are an indigenous Finno-Ugric people inhabiting Sápmi, which today encompasses large northern parts of Norway, Sweden , Finland, and the Kola Peninsula within the Murmansk Oblast of Russia. The Sámi have historically been known in English as Lapps or Laplanders. Sámi ancestral lands are not well-defined. Their traditional languages are the Sámi languages which are classified as a branch of the Uralic language family. The terms "Lapp" and "Lapland" are regarded as offensive by some Sami people, who prefer the area's name in their own language, "Sápmi".[8]
