Cheers Macca
What a brilliant player he was.
And how good was Tripps on so many of those goals ?!!
We are very lucky to have had both of these players and even luckier both in the same team.

Re: Danny Ings' Burnley goals
Fully agree, 2 great players in Tripps and Ings.
Tripps probably gone on to achieve what many thought he could, Danny less so due to injuries, possibly could have followed a similar path to Tripps but for those horrific injuries back to back whilst at Liverpool.
Would be some players and team if we manage to ever find a couple like those 2 again.

Re: Danny Ings' Burnley goals
How lucky we were we to have Ings and Trippier, spent time with both of them and they’re genuinely nice lads as well. Would both get in my best 11 of the last 30-40 years
Re: Danny Ings' Burnley goals
He really was brilliant for us. Reminded me a lot of Robbie Blake with his effortless close control and jinking around defenders, albeit a much younger, leaner and pacier version.
Amazing to think that team that went up in 2013/14 was thought of as a side who'd do well to stay in the Championship.

Fantastic! I love the one vs QPR at around 3 mins in.
What a player!....wish we still had him.

Re: Danny Ings' Burnley goals
I used to think Danny Ings and Harry Kane were neck and neck to be the next big thing. Some fabulous movement and goals. Danny's been very unlucky with his injuries or he'd have been by far the best current English striker.

That's what made that season so enjoyable, it was completely unexpected. Think most of us went into it expecting a boring mid table slog at best.ksrclaret wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2020 7:26 pmHe really was brilliant for us. Re: Danny Ings' Burnley goals
Its always hard to go against the goal at Ewood, but my fave was the delicate little back header at TM - Newcastle?

Re: Danny Ings' Burnley goals
That ship's sailed now i''m afraid, there's no way the Saints will let him go now.1 in 2 for a mid-table outfit is phenomenal.
We've been blessed with many top-class strikers over the past decade, but he's probably top of the bill, not just his goals but his all round play edge it for me.

Thought I might croak when he knocked that winner in at Peewood.
Overall. Great goals. Some real fast paced tracking. Worked tirelessly.
Never quite got to grips with him pointing at himself after he scored the above goal. Won’t stop me watching it three or four times a night before hitting the sack though.

Re: Danny Ings' Burnley goals
For me, it's impossible.
The stand-out moment of his career for us.
When the goal at Deadwood went in, I screamed with joy.
Let's be honest, that was different.
Danny INGS..........all 42 goals
Just watched a super Clarets Player montage of all Danny Ings 42 goals. Some stunning efforts and amazing how many he scored with his head. Brilliant

Re: Danny INGS..........all 42 goals
Probably did more for us than any other single player to help get us where we are today. He was the catalyst. Could have been top top drawer without the injury
Re: Danny INGS..........all 42 goals
That’s a first. We agree on something
