Playstation Virtual Reality

Has anyone any experience of using this piece of kit or any other for that matter? I'm looking at purchasing one to pass some time away whilst locked down, is it worth the money?

Got it for my son for xmas. It was great fun for a few days but I dont think he's used it since mid January.
He still plays on his playstation, just not on the VR

One of my mates has the VR and says it's ok, but nothing to write home about.
