Re: WINNER IN THE MICHAEL DUFF TROPHY*DRAW IN THE END OF SEASON CUP ***SPOT THE BALL***
Unlucky Bob, a valiant effort from a former champion.
Well done to Hunters ST for a stunning comeback and good luck to both you and Goobs for the replay.
Thanks to Ralph and Spot for running another exciting competition, just the stuff we need in these dark times.
Now I need to make space alongside the Ascot Nap League trophy...

Re: EXTRA TIME - END OF SEASON CUP ***SPOT THE BALL***
There are a further 5 images for HunterST and Goobs to get past to win this season's End of Season Cup
Usual rules. Selections by 18.00 hrs Wednesday 6 April. Images are taken from our 1 - 0 victory over Sarf-ham-ton on 14 January 2017. You'll remember it well because Joey Barton came on for Dean Marney and scored with a 78th minute free kick. Referee was Paul Tierney.
Our man with the Box Brownie managed to capture the moment that the ball landed in Fraser Forster's net.

This is going to be tight.
VAR, or VERA as Spot calls it) is just checking for a late push in the box.

Goobs took an early lead, and increased it with Image 2. By half time, Goobs was 4-2 up! A late comeback by HunterST means that HE is the WINNER of this Season's End of Season Cup 8-6. Wow! That was a tight affair.

Well done, great job.
Had to laugh when some chump blithely posted, "Follow the eyes." or something as lame as that.
I bet nobody had ever thought of that before, if only it was that easy, eh ?
Again, well played., HST.

No one will beat the suggestion of re-running a video of the match with chicken wire placed over the TV screenevensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 9:46 amHad to laugh when some chump blithely posted, "Follow the eyes." or something as lame as that.
Experience has shown that the trusty, rusty dart, thrown blindfolded, works best
Re: We have a WINNER Baby ***SPOT THE BALL***
Well done Hunters on winning the trophy and beating Buxton along the way. Commiserations to Goobs, that injury time goal just did for you.

You are SO right. As suggested previously, Buxton and some others, appear to have the ability to see a 2-D image in 3-D. In your example 2 Palace players AND Dean Marney are looking at the ball.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 9:50 amEdited image 3 down just to show how impossible S-t-B can be.

Re: We have a WINNER Baby ***SPOT THE BALL***
It was Tom was the biggest distraction. You’d expect the keeper to have his eyes on the ball. If only so he could come out and catch it.RalphCoatesComb wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 9:55 amYou are SO right. Re:TV. Now I’m out I can own up to getting the 5 points for the Kevin Long pen award from watching a replay. Sadly I didn’t have the penalty you used!

Re: We have a WINNER Baby ***SPOT THE BALL***
WAHOO!!!!!!!
Didn't expect that at all.
Well done to everyone who took part in this very welcome bit of fun in these grim times. A very welcome bit of fun !
Apologies to Buxton, Dazzler & Goobs for (my) the jammiest cup run since Greece in the 2004 Euros ! All were very very close.
Buxton was rightly everyone's favorite to win the whole thing consistently always scoring high.
Huge THANKS to Ralph & Spot for the massive effort doing this. I'm very sure all those who took part agree.
Cheers also for the kind comments
Stay Safe Everyone - Don't Get Complacent ! Be Ultra Careful - and do so for Months to come... Edge towards safety over anything you / we are told in these times.
Right I'm off for a celebratory Bene' n Hot
Be Kind Stay Safe.

There have been some very tight games with some unusual results but, as Spot keeps saying, it's a level playing field... the same for everyone!
Stay safe out there !
