Fallouts

Before the Premier even starts,can't wait for all the moaning and fallouts coming from the bottom teams to try to get out of a relegation battle,should be highly amusing , with lawyers queuing up to add their input to it.. Then you will have the EPL top three wanting their say..
Roll on football.

LMA said it won't go ahead if the PL clubs can't agree to neutral grounds, so who'll be first to say they won't play at a neutral ground? Norwich may even join in, good chance to get the season cancelled.

It may be just me, but why would you gather outside a locked ground?

Neutral Grounds to stop fans gathering yes, plus keeping everyone in a kind of mini quarantine, hotel/bus etc. that they can control & sanitize, not so sure players will want to be away from families for that long to complete all the games though.
Leeds and Liverpool seen as high potential for fans gathering, perhaps only for one game but still a major issue they don't want and the police don't want either
14 clubs only need to agree to neutral grounds for it to pass as I understand it, bottom 6 may object if anymore, then it's no and therefore no play.
Be interesting to see which clubs object and am sure some will, then if it passes what is the fallout and the stories plus unfair claims from the 3 which eventually fallout of the PL. Clearly if you think you can avoid relegation by not playing at all some clubs will want to use that route.

Football is being highlighted as business before entertainment here and it's not a good advertisement I don't think.
I doubt I'd even watch a game behind closed doors on TV it will be worse than watching a pre season friendly against a second rate french team on the turf with 4000 fans in the stands.

It's not just you no...
Knowone will gather outside grounds. The whole concept of it bugs me.

I don’t either. But then again after reading KateR post is kinda makes sense. Image Liverpool playing at home and a win seals the title. They’ll 10,000s of Liverpool fans on the streets etc. Same I imagine for relegation teams. A few 100/1000 outside the ground singing on their team might just be the difference between going down or staying up. As we are I have no idea why Burnley fans would stand outside the Turf.

If they don't want to finish the season with neutral grounds or they're demanding no relegation then maybe they should hand back the monies they've had this season from TV deals and fans/ticket sales.
If they aren't going to provide a finished product then they don't deserve the money for it and by finished that means relegation/promotion as that is what fans expect in a season.
The home advantage argument is based on the pitch, that's it pretty much, but if all games are at a neutral venue for both teams then it negates an advantage for every team.

I think there's a lot more to it than pitch size. Familiarity of surroundings even down to the tea lady, less travel, much larger support. Most pitches are within 5 yards length and width of each other.
Problem arises where you've played a team away and therefore they have had home advantage whereby you don't benefit from this as you're playing at a neutral ground.

They only need 14 out of 20 to vote for neutral grounds for it to happen.
