Does anyone know why bfc2017 has closed their you tube account?

There was some brilliant old clips on there

Seriously? Nooooo
I've spent many afternoons during lockdown watching his videos of past glories and matches.

That was the best collection of Burnley footage going by a mile. Really hope the channel comes back.

Copyright issues? Shame if it stays down as I was a regular user.

Wow, that’s a real shame, about a third of my BFC playlist gone now. He/she did put something up a few days ago that I did wonder about, the whole of the 99/00 highlights videos (parts 1 and 2). Maybe that’s what drew the attention, I wonder if the club is considering releasing something from that season to celebrate the 20th anniversary.

Given these videos aren’t commercially available anymore it’s really petty if it’s for any other reason.

I'm sure that 99/00 highlights 2 partner was uploaded without sound.

Bfc2017 youtube

Post by cricketfieldclarets » Mon May 18, 2020 9:22 am

This was the best YouTube channel out there. Had tonnes of Burnley games from back in the day right through to modern era. I can’t seem to find it at all. Anyone know who runs it or where it’s gone?

Probably some daft copyright rule. But there was literally every game from the Mullen era, Stan and more. :|

If he has had to take it down due to copyright, whoever reported it needs a slap and the person who told him to remove it needs one too.

I think ‘bots’ can detect it nowadays. That said still a shame.

Best YouTube page on there. I must have watched hundreds of their videos since lockdown, until it was pulled. What a great shame it’s gone.

He/she had started putting full club videos on recently, such as the full 99/00 highlights videos. I suspect that may be what drew the attention. Real shame though as there can’t be any commercial value in them anymore, unless they were planning some re-releases.

This sort of thing reminds us the club is a ruthless business.

Just remember this when getting offered your ST money back and they offer you other ways they can keep it.

Even so it’s ruined what was a brilliant YouTube channel for so many and he must have put some real effort in to all that.

I mean surely that’s what YouTube’s all about.

If you read this try vimeo

With all the content you’d have to think it came from within the club.
Shame though I was a subsciber.

. enjoys watching old footage. He knows a guy who has extensive amounts available. He was sent just yesterday highlights from the following games to which he’d never been able to find before:

Aug 1986 Burnley v Bolton
Oct 1986 Northampton v Burnley
Aug 1987 Bolton v Burnley
Apr 1988 Burnley v Leyton Orient
Jan 1994 Charlton v Burnley
Feb 1994 Plymouth v Burnley
Nov 1994 Burnley v Shrewsbury

He was also sent the full match v Mansfield from 1991 which he enjoyed last weekend.

Edit - he also received the full game from Carlisle v Burnley in Spring 92.
