Re: Burnley players who had footballer relatives
I left this one because I thought someone might suggest they were brothers.
As far as I know Stan had no footballing relatives but Ray Ternent very definitely did, his cousin was Ray Pointer.

Re: Burnley players who had footballer relatives
I was going through some names in my head last night. Didn't know about Peter or Jimmy but knew Neil had played for Plymouth. His testimonial, against us, was covered in the 1959/60 section and the match programme is also now on site. How on earth did John miss out on being a footballer in that family?

John believed (believes) he was a VERY talented footballer...Unfortunately, those who know what they're doing didn't agree!!!!!

Re: Burnley players who had footballer relatives
Whilst not strictly pertaining to the question, Jackie Milburn had four cousins, John, Jimmy, Stan and George Milburn, all of whom played League football. The four brother's sister was Elizabeth " Cissie " Milburn, who was Jack and Bobby Charlton's mother. A younger Charlton brother, Tom, was capped at the age of 71, for England's over 60's " Walking football " team in 2018.

I questioned that one further up the thread but included it. I used to sit with Roy when Lee was in the reserves at Burnley. I think you might say they look a bit alike.ralphdpomeroy wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2020 5:41 pmI don't think Roy Dixon ever made a senior appearance for a League club ...
