I'm still awaiting my kit. Was it a touch uncomfortable as it has been said, particularly
the nasal swab ?

Yes it was a bit uncomfortable the nose swab was fine it was the back of the throat that makes you wretch a bit. you have to do it before 9am so do it before you have anything to eat or drink just in case.

I should be ok then, as I've had a couple of endoscopies in the past few months
and didn't gag at all.

Without appearing gross, how do you know that you've gone far enough up
or in/down ? Are there markers on the swabs of some sorts ? Looking forward
to contributing to the good of mankind.

You'll be fine, my good lady traipsed to Preston the other Sunday to be tested (she runs a couple of care homes), as their test kits weren't scheduled for delivery yet. They told her the results would be a week, she got the results on the Tuesday.......needless to say their test kits were delivered on the Monday

My GF is one of the people who is out working on this. It's her first day today.
She is delivering the test for it to be done there and then, taking some information and then taking the samples to a collection point.

Well I got the results back this afternoon telling me my swab test was negative. It's four days since it was collected which I think is a fairly quick time scale to get the result

I got my scam test kit on Tuesday, did the scam test this morning and the scam courier has just
this minute collected it.

I was surprised that I did gag a little with the throat swab, but the nasal swab was just about tolerable.

I also went on the scam website and completed the scam survey.

Scam results in 7 days apparently.

For what it's worth, I don't think it's a scam tbh.

Over two weeks since my wife took the test. Contact them again today, the admitted there was a delay "you will get a letter and email" no lead time though. Thankfully she does not require the result for work purposes but that length of time would be no good if you did.

Makes me wonder if getting x number of test per day was prioritised over the process to handle them.
