Watched a film last night, Steve Coogan in Greed.
The richest 26 people in the world have more wealth than the poorest 3.8 billion.
Good film by the way.

Shame Mr Dyson doesn't fancy buying a northern working class town team, Burnley would be a great addition to his portfolio I think...

It's all relative. For instance, if you have assets of £70,000+ you are in the top 10% of the worlds wealthiest. So someone in the bottom 10% would probably regard me as a rich bztd.
Re: Sunday Times Rich List
Don't think there is a more deserving member of that list. Used his brain to create products for us to use rather than sitting at a desk moving money around the World selling short, wrecking a country's crumbling economy like George Soros. At one stage before his designs started to take off he owed £1 mill to the banks. He has also brought employment to many around the world. He and family paid £128 million in tax in 2017-18 and his company remains (I think) listed here

Re: Sunday Times Rich List
Baffling how he’s so rich. His vacuum cleaners are useless
Re: Sunday Times Rich List
Haven’t looked as not interested in now much wealth in monetary and asset terms others have. Has it ever been less important. I agree with the comments about Dyson though. He has done well for himself, used his brain and been innovative.I like entrepreneurism but over adulation of the numbers once it becomes obscene is not my bag.

Re: Sunday Times Rich List
Maybe I’ve been unlucky, but I’ve had 2 which required new batteries every year, didn’t really pick anything up and would need taking apart to stop them cutting out every few weeks

How come evensteadiereddie didn't make it to the listtiger76 wrote: ↑Sun May 17, 2020 12:46 amI know it's your highlight of the year so here it is.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-52694459

Re: Sunday Times Rich List
The two brothers from Blackburn who own Euro Garages are both worth over £1 billion.
Another Lawrence Cotton, Jack Walker scenario in a few years? They (Rovers) do seem to find wealthy benefactors every few generations to buy them some silverware. It’s always been boom and bust with them.

Re: Sunday Times Rich List
You were right about the triggering, Damo. Didn't take long for the Bosstwat to crawl out, did it ?
As for not making the ST Rich List, I know but the top 10% will do me, thank you very gladly.
Glad to see your jealous, dickhead-like obsession with me is still alive and well, lads. No worrying playground fantasy this time from Bosscat, just good ol' boys unable to help themselves. The other two pricks will no doubt be along shortly.
Not weird at all.

Re: Sunday Times Rich List
he moved the company HQ to Singapore last year - not, he said, as a result of Brexit, of which he was a huge supporter and campaign benefactor, but to future proof the company!mdd2 wrote: ↑Sun May 17, 2020 10:21 amDon't think there is a more deserving member of that list.
