Looking forward to the new season (in normal times)
It's normally that time of year when the season's ended and some of us start planning our next football 'fix'. If it's an even numbered year then I know there'll be Euro's or a World Cup to keep me entertained during this fallow period. Of course we've all got to fit our summer holidays in but that was booked ages ago, carefully selected dates to avoid the new football season. As the summer progresses I eagerly await the new fixtures coming out and also news of preseason friendlies. You see, for me, preseason offers the chance of combining a few days away on holiday with the odd Clarets game thrown in. And the family come too, win - win.
During lock-down I've been sorting through family photo's and came across these from the noughties.

Is 3rd photo down the Oval, Belfast?
If so, it's where I saw Glentoran hold Benefica and Eusebio to a 1-1 draw 67-68 European Cup.
