Has anyone else had email confirmation after applying for the refund. Not had anything come through?

I've not had an email acknowledgement of my requests, which does concern me as how do I prove what I asked for?

Doubt you need to prove anything. You haven't purchased anything so you don't need proof of purchase. You've just asked for a refund, there will be no automated service set up for that.Awayfromburnley wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 7:05 amI've not had an email acknowledgement of my requests, which does concern me as how do I prove what I asked for?

True, to a point-but how do you prevent the default occurring though? ie. No refund?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 7:10 amDoubt you need to prove anything. It's maybe me being a bit paranoid but I got stung like this with Oasis at Heaton Park refunds, I couldn't prove I asked for a refund before the deadline.

Just trust the club, if for some reason you don't get a refund it will be easy enough to prove to the club. They aren't going to keep your money.

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
To be honest I need the money at the minute but absolutely accept it may take a while. I just find it unusual though that their isn't an email acknowledgement, even an auto reply, despite inputting an email address.
It's not intended as a criticism, merely an observation and concern.

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
It's a fair point about an email acknowledgement. It would reassure those who could do with the cash sooner rather than later. If you haven't had a refund by the 26 June or further details about any revised timescales it would be reasonable to follow up.Awayfromburnley wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 8:13 amTo be honest I need the money at the minute but absolutely accept it may take a while. I notice when I pay for something from BFC it goes through in an instant. Still had no refund though.

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
If you were expecting to have already received a refund then I'd have expected you to be disappointed. They are not going to be able to process them all so quickly. The ticket office staff only returned this week.
Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
Have you checked if the cash has been put onto your Season Card? I think that they they were initially doing that for everyone and then reversing that and doing a cash refund for those who requested that.Awayfromburnley wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 7:05 amI've not had an email acknowledgement of my requests, which does concern me as how do I prove what I asked for?

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
I don't know how easy it is to do but this is not a standard situation, giving refunds on season tickets. Whether they could have set up an automated email response I don't know but to be honest I don't think it really matters.
Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
It doesn't matter to me either. But it might matter to others as demonstrated. I doubt it would be a big issue setting it up. Best just to wait a week or so for the refund and take from there.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 10:12 amI don't know how easy it is to do but this is not a standard situation, giving refunds on season tickets. All the money went on to Teamcard a week or so ago. Mine has now been removed again which means they are processing the refund.

If you log into the TeamCard site, you should have something like this which shows the points added to your card then removed if requested refund

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
Eh ? I’m sure the club get hundreds of incoming transactions in a week not just from me. I am happy for it to take a little longer due to the numbers involved but some sort of idea when it will be paid even an acknowledgement email with no timescale wouldn’t go amiss. This is how most businesses operate ( not having a go at the club but just saying ).

I think it would have been wise to confirm info submitted on the form in an e-mail, there will be mistakes and it is really simple to autogenerate an e-mail with the tech they were using (MS Forms I believe), it’s just bad planning IMO
Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
I am leaving mine on for next season. Another option I was thinking about was donating to a pool so a number of recently made redundant season ticket holders can get a free or discounted ticket for themselves or a child.
Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
Where do you find the TeamCard site. ?

It is in the app but it doesn’t actually show your point breakdown (or I can’t see it)
I went via the website

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
Thanks claretblue and wilks_bfc. I've registered which has allowed me to view my card, however, we have two other cards for family members so I assumed I'd have to re register their 14 diget number separately, the problem is even when I come out of the site and try to start the process again it goes straight back to me and my recent entered registration with "welcome --- -------" (my name) any ideas? Incidentally we do all have the same surname if that's relevant.

It's good is TeamCard - it says when you login: "SeasonCard holders will very soon be receiving their 2015/2016 SeasonCards through the post"
Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
Having seen this I went into my teamcard account for the first time since I registered it. Didn’t realise it recorded the date and time of me going through the turnstiles on my account. 109 home games since the start of the 14/15 season (missed a few due to weddings!)

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
I've always had the app on my phone so you can check all that. I only ever use it really to see if I've enough points to use them for a match programme (my Watford programme has now arrived by the way). But the app has suddenly stopped working.martin_p wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2020 2:41 pmHaving seen this I went into my teamcard account for the first time since I registered it. I haven't heard anything yet. I presume that the 'refund amount' will remain on the season card until they deposit the refund into our accounts.

I did hear that there is an option to collect the refund from the ticket office. Does anyone know if they just refund in cash?

Not you season card, it's on your TeamCard which entitles you to spend them in the club shop or potentially on the following season's season ticket.UnderSeige wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2020 3:01 pmI haven't heard anything yet. Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
just seen the update and it says that deadline is 3rd July - I hope they aren't waiting for then until they refund. It also said it would be refunded on to the debit card, yet when i applied for refund I only put my bank and sort number in?

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
Update from Burnley FC
Over the past week Burnley Football Club has begun the refund process for those 2019/20 season ticket holders who unfortunately will not be able to attend the final four homes games of the Premier League season.
The cash value of the four games now being played behind closed doors was automatically refunded back onto seasoncards in the form of points, allowing supporters the greatest range of options of what they wished to do with their refund value:
Keep the value of points on your seasoncard and redeem them against future Clarets Store or Ticket purchases
Donate to Youth Development
Request the points value be transferred into a cash value and paid back onto supporters bank card.
The club has now set a deadline of Tuesday 30th June for ‘option 3’; those wanting to request the refund back as a card payment, to allow the club to focus on getting this administered as quickly as possible for supporters.
Please remember that the value of the four games you missed is now on your seasoncards as points. These will not expire until 2021, so if you do not want the refund back as a payment these points will still be available to use towards purchases in the Clarets Store or towards a future season ticket. If you request a card refund payment these points will be taken off your seasoncard and will no longer be available.
We have also been receiving numerous queries regarding when those requested payment refunds will arrive. Don't worry, we have all your applications and ask for patience as we get through these. It is an extremely large project and due to Government guidelines we are still running to a restricted number of staff in all areas of the business. We aim to get through all requested refund payments as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and support.

I've no problem with any of that, it must be a big undertaking, my only gripe is a lack of proof that they have received my application, I know there was a screen at the end saying it had been done, but we have nothing should the club dispute they never received an application after the deadline has passed.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 1:26 pmUpdate from Burnley FC

Exactly my concern. I have no evidence that I have applied for (or perhaps more importantly, the club have received my application for) a refund, well before the deadline.Grumps wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 3:33 pmI've no problem with any of that, it must be a big undertaking, my only gripe is a lack of proof that they have received my application, I know there was a screen at the end saying it had been done, but we have nothing should the club dispute they never received an application after the deadline has passed.

from the original article:
'The aim is to process all requested refunds by Friday 26th June'.
Have any refunds been processed yet? I haven't received mine yet, and I applied within minutes of the link to apply for a refund becoming live.

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
You can check via TeamCard whether it has been done or not. Go in and you will see the addition of points. If you have applied for a refund you will then see those points removed. It's that simple. As below:Grumps wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 3:33 pmI've no problem with any of that, it must be a big undertaking, my only gripe is a lack of proof that they have received my application, I know there was a screen at the end saying it had been done, but we have nothing should the club dispute they never received an application after the deadline has passed.
The first reference is the points going on and the second the points being removed.
