Another one from Lytham.
Re: Fylde Coast Clarets
Went with the family yesterday and a fellow claret full of information re. Local history and the peat bogs under the sand had a good chat with us. Gave a piece of old petrified wood he had beachcombed . Interesting chap who had been out in Cyprus when the lockdown started and was reluctantly forced back. Just wondered if he was a poster on here. We take the local coast for granted but felt privelidged yesterday to bask at our local Costa del Blackpool.

Temporarily living in Thornton-Cleveleys after relocating from France, not sure where we will end up. Spotted another Claret's car in the neighbourhood too.

We haven't been doing our monthly visit to Lytham, usually park up, after breakfast at the Beach Hut we liked to bike from there on the sea front down to Fleetwood. Just a steady ride for us two oldies.Hoping we'll be able to do it again soon. Been going for years but never spotted any clarets.

My wife and I did the same last Friday. The new sea wall sections on the Fylde coast are absolutely superb for cycling. Clarets fan spotted outside the north pier too, proudly wearing a Burnley shirt. Strongly recommend for a day out on a nice day.beddie wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 2:23 pmWe haven't been doing our monthly visit to Lytham, usually park up, after breakfast at the Beach Hut we liked to bike from there on the sea front down to Fleetwood. Re: Fylde Coast Clarets
They've just opened up the new bit between Grannys Bay and Lytham. The connecting bit round Fairhaven Lake opens up this weekend. Great for cycling, tho can't say I've made it as far as Fleetwood. Much quicker on the tram...
