Re: Monday at Man City
Thank God for some non-political, football related news on this site. I know it won't be the same but I can't wait to get back to BFC and the PL again. Utc at last.

Given the mass gatherings in London and beyond, I assume tickets for palace go on sale tomorrow?

Wonder when we'll find out when the Sky games are free-to-air or subscription?

Re: Monday at Man City
All that football makes it feel like the Euros replacement!
Although different context - as 20/20 did with cricket, is there a possibility that fans may love the condensed nature of this and seek shorter and faster seasons, in some form. I know players wouldn't want it as it would be tiring, but just food for thought.

Re: Monday at Man City
I'm assuming there will still be regular MOTDs, even with the fixtures being strung out?
Re: Monday at Man City
According to Gary Lineker on last Saturdays programme, he said MOTD would be back for the first weekends fixtures.huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 7:57 pmI'm assuming there will still be regular MOTDs, even with the fixtures being strung out?

When did that appear? I missed it earlier, I missed it now, and I even started a new thread because I couldn't find it. Ah, the perils of old age ...

Re: ARTICLE: It’s Monday at the Etihad – dates for first three games
On the basis there has been no football for ages do we expect to sell out at City?

It hasn't been deleted - it has been merged because there was already a thread from over six hours before yours. If you look up you will see your post on this thread.

Watford home game is free to air on the Pick channel but Man City away isn't.

2 of our first 3 games are free to air with only the City game not.

Makes sense.
Burnley-Watford
Palace-Burnley
Aren't likely to set many pulses racing outwith those clubs involved, whereas the City game will generate a decent TV audience, especially from the overseas market.

Re: Monday at Man City
TV fans may prefer a shorter, more intense season but not many people could afford either the time nor the cost of everything being condensed into a 19 week season. Throw in the FA Cup, the other cup (whatever name it is under each season) and then add in Champions League and Europa League competitions as well as international breaks and a mid season break and you end up with a season running from, say, mid August to sometime in MayAwayfromburnley wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 7:15 pmAll that football makes it feel like the Euros replacement!

Re: ARTICLE: It’s Monday at the Etihad – dates for first three games
Just remembered that City had Real Madrid at home the Tuesday after our game. Surely would’ve rested players. Need all the advantages you can against them, so that’s a bit annoying!
