VHS?
VHS?
Do any of you have a vhs still? I have been cleaning my loft out found two old bfc videos, 1 is Rhapsody in claret n blue & the other is a mid season review of the 93/94 season. Free to anyone who wants them on here? Otherwise they going in the bin!

Re: VHS?
Yes and loads of old tapes. They will be obsolete soon. Modern TVs don’t seem to come with a scart socket which most video players ran on. I can still watch and transfer mine through a HDD recorder.
Already got Rhapsody In Claret & Blue so I’ll decline your kind offer.

Re: VHS?
Quite easy to just buy a scart to HDMI converter, so no need for a dedicated port on the TV anymore.huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2020 3:18 pmYes and loads of old tapes. I've got the Sherpa Van Wolves Final on VHS, Xmas present in the distant past. Don't think I ever watched it tbh, I was there, that was enough.

We had a tape converted to DVD but the shop that did it is shut now, might be doable through someone on T’interweb though? Gems like this should be preserved...

Colburn Claret has a Toshiba HDD/VHS machine that does it all in the one machine.
This one.

Not really. My wife is in the highly vulnerable group so no idea when I could get over there. As you can propably guess from my username, I'm in Leeds. Never mind, it's no big deal.

Re: VHS?
VHS I've still got a betamax, some classics on both with a quirky quality feeling compared to the updated enhanced DVDS/Blu-ray.

@jamesisaburyfan I managed to find footage of that Bury-Preston game I was talking about the other week. Thought you might enjoy it despite the score.

Blimey. The defending, or rather the lack of it, for that third goal.djemba-djemba wrote: ↑Sat Jun 06, 2020 3:36 pm@jamesisaburyfan I managed to find footage of that Bury-Preston game I was talking about the other week. Thought you might enjoy it despite the score.

Thanks for digging it out. We were relegated that season, 1991/92. As happened at the end of 84/85 (the season of my first book - plug ends), Bury and Burnley passed like ships in the night as one went up and the other went down, so I didn't see Bury play Burnley in a competitive fixture until October 1996.
What I love about that footage is that the camera position in the Main Stand is practically where my seat for the last ten years was. Just down from the halfway line, midway down the stand. Feels like home again watching it.
