Maybe Garlick and Mike Rigg think we should be looking to bring the age of the squad down a bit? Has to be a worry that Dyche could leave in a year or two and we'll be left with a group of players mainly aged 31-35, all on good money with little to no resale value. Which would result in a huge rebuilding job for the next man coming in.
This has been my biggest concern for a while. Each window we fail to really bring in replacements. At some point, Dyche, or whoever is in charge is going to have a massive rebuild on their hands - with limited funds and a club reluctant to shop abroad. The next couple of windows are important and may shape where we go in the next year or two. We have to find a way to bring in younger legs who are capable at this level - a tall order of course, but it's necessary. In an ideal situation I would let Bardsley go and bring in a promising right back to challenge Lowton, and even more ideally someone who will strengthen us now in that area.

Agree with you, Dyche is Burnley’s biggest asset. The reins need to be loosened to let him get on with what he’s best at.

That's the problem though isn't it, the reins won't be loosened, even if they were I really can't see them being enough for Dyche to move forward the way he wants to.

Dyche has made comments like this throughout his time with us. Like to think his relationship with the chairman is a bit more secure than some are commenting on.

Yes and we know he's not going to be here forever, but after all this time Dyche has just started getting arsey about brass?

Some people do like to worry.

Just calm down.
