Brighton
Going to place cardboard cutout replica photos of fans in their seats for home games. I am glad that our club is not going to follow this lead.

Thought they would have gone for plastic rather than cardboard.

If you mean featuring some black faces in the crowd by "black up any cardboard" - an interesting phrase - then, no, I don't think they will.

At least they will be more authentic fans and less self righteousCirrus_Minor wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 8:08 amGoing to place cardboard cutout replica photos of fans in their seats for home games. I am glad that our club is not going to follow this lead.

Neil Hart said on Clarets Player just yesterday that we are looking into lower-tier coverings to give the illusion of fans too...Cirrus_Minor wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 8:08 amGoing to place cardboard cutout replica photos of fans in their seats for home games. Think the club should save the money unless it helps the players, which I doubt.

Re: Brighton
only £100 for your replica, if you want it in your own season ticket place then extra £20 so could generate extra £100 per ticket holder giving a £1 million pounds
Re: Brighton
Didn't Arsenal once have a banner behind the goal of fans and there was an outcry because there were not enough ethnic minorities portrayed???
Yes thought I remembered it...

Shite club ...Shite fans.
Re: Brighton
They've done it at all the Australian rugby grounds. It's a bit of fun. File it under "lockdown jokes and memes" - no objection from me.Cirrus_Minor wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 8:08 amGoing to place cardboard cutout replica photos of fans in their seats for home games. Re: Brighton
I don't think Brighton supporters are any different to those of any other Premier League club.

Re: Brighton
Sounds a bit naff and so does adding fake crowd noise...but last Saturday Bayer Leverkusen v Bayern Munich had both some kind of fan mural and recorded crowd noise and it made the game somehow massively better viewing than the previous games I'd seen in echoing empty stadia.

I presumed there always were a load of cardboard cut outs around me in the Bob Lord

I believe they are charging £20 each, I also believe Wolves are doing this but at a cost of £7

Brightons are cardboard cutouts whereas Wolves’ are photos on a huge banner that covers one end of Molineux.

Re: Brighton
Given that the view that the tv viewers see of the Turf is predominently the Bob Lord maybe they should just buy a job lot of tartan rugs and place them on the seats.

Re: Brighton
Clubs could just drape large flags over the seats in the front rows like some away supporters do when there are empty seats at the front. It would give a slight illusion of normality as long as the cameras don't aim too high up in the stand.

Will they be holding hands ? Only a joke before the PC brigade start .
Re: Brighton
They're going to need extra lube, cardboard is quite abrasive
