Bournemouth haven’t, it still has Premier League badges on the sleeves.

Crystal Palace had one very similar in the 70s. Always fancied it for us as an away strip.
Re: New Kits 20/21
I am a kit junkie and I’m praying that’s not our new shirt for next season. Uninspired and just awful. The South Shields shirts are gorgeous by the way. I’m also a fan of the 20/21 West Ham away shirt. Really nicely done.

Re: New Kits 20/21
West Ham like to play with the designs. As long as it’s claret and blue. They had a really nice pin-stripe shirt a few years ago.
Burnley are too traditionalist, and more-often-than-not always opt for a claret body and blue sleeves - it’s the same every season.

Agree - also a fan of the WHU one. Something similar with the old badge style would have been great.
The lad that’s leaked it on Twitter apparently bought a few in a pub and has stressed a few times that he’s not saying it’s official, which got my hopes up. But why anyone would go to the trouble to make such a good fake of a Burnley shirt is beyond me, so I think it’s real. Also, seen a photo of the 20/21 kit and that had similar sleeves so does look to all fit in.

I really hope it's a wind up. Who would design a shirt with a llight blue sleeve with chinese writing on it and the top half of the sleeve claret unless it's to fool the refs when it comes to handball, makes the shoiulder look lower. The way it's hung on the hanger doesn't help but it does look like a pieces of wrags stitched together.
Pity we aren't still with Puma those South Shields shirts are all better than ours.

There'll be that many left at the end of the season they'll be flogging them off for a fiver.MACCA wrote: ↑Sun Jul 19, 2020 5:47 pmTheyll be plenty buy it, theres people who collect shirts, kids that will want it which is fair enough.
I've got a shirt every season since my lad was born, and I keep them all in the attic, dont know why it just started as he wanted 1 ever year, so I'll get one but itll be in May 2021 when its £10

Even better.
I'm still yet to blink for this years, still way too expensive at £22.50 to be stuck straight in the loft
I also want 1 for a friend who's moved to Coventry from Burnley for work after emigrating here from South Africa.
Even though an avid rugby fan, he has taken a liking to football, and Burnley is his team after a couple of visits to the Turf with me, so would like to surprise him with a "Jersey" when I go visit him in August.

Re: New Kits 20/21
A lot wanting Adidas but we’d just end up with one out of their bog standard catalogue and wouldn’t be anywhere as unique as these that the twitter designer has come up with.
The apparent new home kit hasn’t really impressed me but at least with Umbro we are getting designs tailored for us.

Are the Umbro kits not template kits like we had with Puma?burnmark wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 4:25 pmA lot wanting Adidas but we’d just end up with one out of their bog standard catalogue and wouldn’t be anywhere as unique as these that the twitter designer has come up with.

Re: New Kits 20/21
I would say the green third is as think Bournemouth had the same template last year but the away with the design across the chest was unique whilst I don’t recall anyone else having the same design as the home barring the small detail on the trim of the sleeves.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 4:28 pmAre the Umbro kits not template kits like we had with Puma?
Re: New Kits 20/21
How does it work with kit manufactures? Money wise? Is it all about us hitting targets in sales?
Re: New Kits 20/21
Not sure if it's still on, but they were on buy one get one free a few weeks ago when I got a home and an away. Would be ideal for your scenario.MACCA wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 2:17 pmEven better.

Those Adidas kits are way too nice, no chance we'll ever get that lucky. Just hoping the Umbro leaked kit is a wind up.

Re: New Kits 20/21
That home kit would be decent with turf moor as a darker under stitch and a better sponsor. Sponsor is a shocker of an eyesore even if we did get £7m from it.

But they are bangin kits
All sponsors are eyesores (unless it was Specsavers if course) regardless of what company

Re: New Kits 20/21
I don’t usually buy the kits but a couple of months ago it was buy one get one free and they were already half price. So I got the home and away shirt for a total of £22.50. Well worth it for something to wear for a run or football.

Just had a look online for the deals on this year's kit. Noticed the 3rd kit is still full price; does that mean we are keeping it next season?

Doubt it, that kit pays for trees doesn’t it, maybe there is no room to reduce costs unless to scrap the tree donation insteadTheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 6:46 pmJust had a look online for the deals on this year's kit. The Umbro shirts which may or may not be next seasons shirt were originally posted up on the local FB selling groups at the grand price tag of 8 English Pounds.

Those Adidas kits are absolute quality. Would buy all three.
Always baffles me how concept designs made by fans can be so great, when the designers that create them for a living produce such rubbish.

Re: New Kits 20/21
Very strange that they were packaged in official Umbro bags though with an official item code. Someone has gone to a lot of effort to produce what could possibly be fake shirts.THEWELLERNUT70 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 10:38 pmThe Umbro shirts which may or may not be next seasons shirt were originally posted up on the local FB selling groups at the grand price tag of 8 English Pounds.

Re: New Kits 20/21
I do think it is next season’s kit but another theory could be, possibly due to the similarities to this season’s, that it’s a prototype of an alternative design that was presented to the club during the selection process. These do pop up on eBay from a variety of clubs from time to time.

as much as the lion is Borough, I'm sure I spotted one of the wrap around banners on Bob lord stand carrying the same logo.

Yes I saw the logo on a banner too. Obviously they can't use the offical badge on these or any other designs.
I was more talking about the shirt design with the blue V, one of my favourite shirts from the past. Think it's a modern take on a classic.

Would be great to see the above, but I'd only suggest the V kit design to be on an anniversary of its original use

Re: New Kits 20/21
Generally it's just a fairly hefty advance payable to the club (sometimes up front, sometimes spread in two or three payments over the season). Beyond that it's pretty common to have no additional royalties on shirt sales unless a very high target is hit.
Often there's further royalties payable on sales of other branded stuff (training kit, polo shirts, etc). Sometimes it's offset against the above advance, sometimes it is dealt with separately.
Umbro themselves are just a brand name now, it's these guys https://www.gldgroup.com/ who do the manufacturing and agree the deals with oversight from Umbro (who are owned by the American brand group Iconix).

Re: New Kits 20/21
Anything but the kit with the lowered shoulders. Whoever did the Adidas concept strips should get a job working for Umbro, he'd do a better job than the Umbro designers.
Re: New Kits 20/21
It's not the umbro designers as such, they'll produce any shirt we'd like.
They'll have 1001 designs and templates, we will inevitably go for the cheapest one.
Umbro have made some lovely kits over the years, as shown above with the south shields puma shirts, the common denominator is us.
