I've never had BT Sport, although I've had Sky since 1994. I'll have to consider signing up to it, at least for a month or two.

I get my broadband through BT. I could always look it up, but does anyone know how much it will cost to get the Sport channel?

I've added it to my Sky package - it did cost £25 per month but it is on a rolling 31 day contract. If you have BT Broadband them I'm sure you will be able to get it cheaper.

That was the one we knew for certain - it had already been selected for BT before the shut down.

I've got BT Broadband and my bill says I pay £10/month for BT Sport. It also says I pay £11/month for BT Entertainment - which I never watch. I'm not sure whether both are required. I'm on 24 months contract.

As posted elsewhere, I signed up for NOW TV and Sky Sport, £25/month + £3/month HD Boost (it was a very good picture last night) - rising to £34/month after 3 months.

EDIT: If the suggestion that City v Burnley is on Pick, I might have committed this NOW/Sky Sport subscription without watching a single Burnley game on it.

I get my broadband through BT and sign up to 'BT Sports only'. It's currently £7.50 per month. I don't have a BT TV box. There is an App that you can download to watch it on. I have a tiny PC plugged into my TV with the App on it. Alternatively you can watch it on your computer, smartphone, laptop or tablet.

I think that it will cost a lot more if you have the BT TV box. The basic package is £10 per month. You can then add other channels such as Sport at extra cost. The Sports packages are currently half price for a limited time.

I' ve just added BT Sport to my Sky package, at £20 per month, for two years. They're also sending me a new router to increase my broadband speed.

How on earth has this become so difficult? According to the TV guides it is on Pick and Sky are reporting as such.

Just checked and still not listed on Pick via sky box. I can’t imagine freeview having separate programming?

It was listed on my Sky box a couple of days ago, I'll go and have another look.

And checked, still showing.

I have a program that downloads the latest EPG from Winter Hill. I use it to keep the Windows Media Centre going on an old PC. I have just this minute downloaded the latest programme guide.

The match is on Pick Channel 11 starting at 7:30 pm. "Manchester City face Burnley at the Etihad Stadium in Monday night football from the Premier League. The stands won't be full but they'll sound like it with 'Sky Sports Crowds'".

I’m in Ireland and getting a different Pick listing to UK. They caught me out there. I’ve got Sky sports so covered for the match.

I wondered that.

I don't have an Amazon Prime account, but that doesn't stop an automated American woman phoning every other day to say that I' ve been renewed for £39.99.

Live tv coverage

Post by huw.Y.WattfromWare » Fri Jun 19, 2020 10:01 am

We had a very good run of live tv games before lockdown. Now we know the remainder of the season is available it has been a very good year for us ex-pats.
Now we know how the “big” clubs followers feel.

Now found this:

Amazon have announced that fans in the UK will be able to watch the games live on streaming service Twitch, as well (obviously) as on the Prime Video app on connected devices, with no membership option required. "Prominent Twitch streamers" will also "co-stream" the games, with more details on who and, exactly what, to be announced.

I made a fool of myself yesterday by saying the City game wasn’t listed on Sky Pick. It turns out that Irish sky Pick is not showing the PL games, UK only. For those that can access it you can put UK Pick in other channels. The listings are:
Pick & Pick+1................Pick HD
12080.........................12363
H..............................V
27/5..........................27.5
5/6............................2/3
DVB-S..........................8PSK

I found through trial and error it would not stay in memory. I had to save it then watch. If I changed channel and went back I got a blue screen. You might have more luck.

"Prominent Twitch streamers" will also "co-stream" the games, with more details on who and, exactly what, to be announced.
How can I watch on Amazon?

Existing and new Prime members can watch the Premier League games on a wide range of devices.

This includes the Prime Video app, across mobile, Fire TV, games consoles, Virgin's V6 TV Box, BT TV, TalkTalk TV, Apple TV, Chromecast and online.
Fans can even watch the action on Prime Video in 4K Ultra HD at no extra cost.

What are the tech requirements?
To watch Amazon Prime you need a minimum 1mb broadband connection to stream one game at a time in standard definition.

As the quality increases, so does the strain on your internet connection - and it's advisable to have an unlimited package with your ISP.

Whilst you'll need a 4mb connection to stream in HD or 25mb (preferably Fibre) to watch in 4K Ultra HD.

Many Smart TV's have the Prime app built in - make sure you're connected via Wifi or an Ethernet cable to get the best out of your connection and avoid potential buffering issues.

You can watch up to three matches at the same time on different devices

How can I watch it for free?
Non members can start a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime - which will grant them access to all of the action.

You can then cancel at any time.

Amazon Prime then costs £7.99 per month or £79 for the year.

You've done better than me, then, Leisure. It's costing me £20 per month over 2 years.

Still, I can get £14 a month back by cancelling multiroom, which I never use.

It's a lottery trying to sort out a deal with Sky, as everyone (no matter what they have included in their package) seems to be paying a different price. Very difficult to ascertain if you're paying over the odds or getting a good deal!

The only thing you can do as a season ticket holder if you don't have Sky is to apply for the two free NOW TV passes.
