The audacity of the guy. Somebody surely needs to get hold of him and ensure he stays well clear of things like this. It will take no time at all for people to dig up his racist homophobic tweets.
He will do more good for the cause he claims to support by staying out of the limelight.

Re: Andre Gray - icons of black history
I agree, excellent. There is no doubt that we have come a long way in the UK but it is still two steps forwards and one back. The Windrush scandal- it was not just an own goal, but hit wicket, foot fault and many other sporting analogies of self inflicted harm by absolute stupidity on behalf of Government and its officers. Roots had a profound impact when I watched it in the ?late 70's early 80"s based on the book by Alex Haley. Much as the film Kes should be part of children's Education so should Roots-Kes would be good for BLM to watch too-as it isn't all about BLM nor is it all about Governments but society and behaviour have a place too. We must look forward and not keep forever looking back-by all means we should look back from time to time-looking back all the time means you walk into things you should have avoided

Andre Gray is a great example of someone who previously held bigoted views but learned the error of their ways and can be a force for change. He's someone a lot of people could learn from. I'm proud he played for us.

It's a good job that they hadn't banned "Roots" or he wouldn't have been able to watch it.
A classic case of learning from history and a good reason to not sweep it under the carpet.

LOL, that’s like saying racism no longer exists because white people have learned not to publish their prejudices. I’m in no doubt Andre hasn’t changed his views.

Yeah there was no where else to learn about those sorts of things without Roots.Funkydrummer wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 12:02 pmIt's a good job that they hadn't banned "Roots" or he wouldn't have been able to watch it.

Fortunately the movie Cromwell is still around so we can all learn about Oliver Cromwell and Charles I.

Lookily for the tattooist, he's not white otherwise he'd have a million faces to do. The 1970 Wold Cup squad and the Roman emperors for starters...

It's all about Andre Gray before before Jesus, isn't it... If he were a role model, then we'd expect apostle tattoos wouldn't we?
His agent must have got him the spot in the Times. What appearance next? I think Panto:
"Oh Twankey,Twankey! Twankey Twankey Widow Twankey Andre Gray"!
Meanwhile, Rashford's been snapped up by Merchant Ivory to play the part of Florence Nightingale in their next film NHS.
