Today's Championship games

3 finished and all 3 yielding away wins, Barnsley, Charlton and Wigan also ahead on the road, only Reading of the home teams have an advantage, clearly the fans do make a difference as many suspected.

Rovers went 1-0 down before drawing level instantly. I hope I'm wrong, but expect them to grab the win.

Fulham have pretty much handed Leeds and WBA promotion after once again buckling under the pressure and losing again. The Championship had a lot less competition for the top 2 places than I anticipated at the start of the season. I thought it would have been closer.

They better not win the playoffs, as that's where they'll finish.

Quite sobering to see where Huddersfield, Boro and Hull are with all 3 of them being recently in the EPL.

Quite you can add Stoke to that list, let's hope that's not us in a couple of years. Birmingham and above should be safe, but after that you could throw a blanket over the rest.

As it stands they'll be 8 away wins in the Champ, that must be close to a record in a single day.

Hard to see West Brom & Leeds not getting over the line from here, but everything else is up for grabs.

Forest & Preston are leading and Swansea won earlier, so even if Rovers net 3 points they won't make up ground.

Luton level. Rovers will finish in the top 6, it's absolutely nailed on.

Can’t work out if the standard is poor this season or not, but either way it’s not going to take a large points total to go up. Might even be as low as 75-76 points to clinch second.

Top 2 good teams, no other team to compete with them.

I don't know if i'd describe Leeds or West Brom as good, but the difference is their consistency, compared to the rest, Fulham briefly threatened the top 2 post-Xmas, and then rapidly fell away, Ditto Brentford, so both Leeds and WBA have had the leeway for the odd bad result here and there, we'd have waltzed this division judging by our records in the 2 promotion seasons, as i can't see even the top 2 getting near the 90 point mark, it shows how well we, Boro & Brighton performed in that 2015/16 season, even Hull passed the 80 point mark, and they only finished 4th.

If Leeds come up they've said they'll spend, West Brom i doubt will splash the cash, and on paper the latter could struggle to compete, but as the table shows spending money is no guarantee, Villa spunked millions, and they're struggling to avoid the drop, whereas Sheff Utd recruited wisely, and kept the nucleus of their promotion squad, and they could yet finish in a CL spot.

The key for Leeds is keeping hold of Bielsa, if they can do that they have a good chance of staying up.

That would be virtually impossible given the top two are on 71 at the moment with 8 games to play. Might be as low as 85-86 mind

It's going to be a mad dash for the play-off's, there's only 3 points between PNE in 6th and Derby in 12th, even by the standards of the Championship that's mad, it could be a crazy final day, with loads of twists and turns.

He said points total to go up and clinch second, so being clear of 3rd place.
Fulham on 64 at the moment. I think it's very realistic that they'll only pick up 11 points from their remaining 8 games. They've bottled under the pressure all season, so if Leeds/WBA lose, they'll keep dropping points as well.

I see Leeds only needing a couple of more wins from their remaining 9 games to finish top 2.

Leeds will go up simply because the chasing pack are so inept!

Fulham had a straightforward home game and blew it once again.

I live in Leeds and it’s quite funny that many fans suggest that this Leeds side is the best to have ever graced the championship.

In many others years they wouldn’t get near automatics with the points total they’re getting. They’ll need to invest heavily to stay up in the PL.

Leeds are certainly gearing up for the PL, lots of their players just go down if you breathe on them, they stay down and have a sneaky glance at the ref but then recover very quickly if they do not get the decision. The way that football is going is absolutely pathetic.

Agree with you there Ashington, apart from this game, not seen much of that kind of behaviour, if there is one positive about football at the minute is the time wasting and not getting on with the game that you normally see is largely missing.

Cardiff 1 up against Leeds

Leeds has a chance to equaliser but our friend Bamford blocked a shot from his teammate as it was heading in 😂

He would still have been deemed offside if it had gone in because he was stood in front of the keeper.

I‘ll take your word for it as more experienced, but I thought he was to the side of the keeper and the keeper dived behind

Didn't realise Cardiff could leapfrog Rovers with a win, still think Leeds will get their customary late goal, they're creating too many chances not to score aren't they, surely only a matter of time.

The thing is even if they lose this game they've still got a 7 point back to 3rd, and the games are running out fast, only 8 more after today, hard to see either of the top 2 imploding that much, and more importantly hard to see who from the chasing pack can string together 5, 6, 7 wins on the bounce because that's what it's going to need if anybody is going to catch the front runners.

Leeds can afford to lose this now Fulham lost. Like I say, they can lose the majority of their remaining games and they'll still finish top 2.

If Leeds had a decent striker instead of Bamford they'd be up already. Shows how crucial Andre Grays goals were the year we won the league.

If Leeds go on to lose today, this will be the 9th game they've lost, we only lost 10 in 2 total Championship seasons, this shows that they're not all that, the problem is nobody wants to go up automatically from the Champ it seems, hence why the top 2 are on easy street, West Brom only got a draw yesterday, and Leeds are heading for nothing, but despite that they're both edging closer to promotion, because the rest are useless, and every time somebody is breathing down their necks, the challenge falters.
