Cummings and Gibson
Cummings and Gibson
Is there something, apart from chemicals, in the water up there which makes them untrustworthy
At least Dominic went back to work.
Although both in my opinion are stealing a wage.
Should be part of the contract that if you wear a rivals colours your wages are stopped !would my employers accept me being on social media advertising a rival?

They are not a rival. They are on there way to league 1. Nothing wrong with a man getting behind his team, as long as they are not the opposition.

2 people from the north east trigger you for some reason, and that makes everyone from one corner of the country untrustworthy?

Pretty sure Vokes was spotted at a Saints game during his time with us.Spike wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 12:48 pmIs there something, apart from chemicals, in the water up there which makes them untrustworthy

Vokes was at Anfield when Southampton won to get to a cup final. George Boyd was spotted at Wembley when Palace got to the final.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 1:51 pmPretty sure Vokes was spotted at a Saints game during his time with us.
I think the difference really is I don’t think Gibson has ever really left Boro in his head. He still wants to be playing for them.

See if he fancies League 1 football. I think that's where they're headingClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 1:56 pmVokes was at Anfield when Southampton won to get to a cup final. George Boyd was spotted at Wembley when Palace got to the final.

Theyll survive by the skin of their teeth, as they've 3 points away to Hull in a couple of weeks.matttheclaret wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 2:07 pmSee if he fancies League 1 football. I think that's where they're heading
But cant seeing playing there to be honest even if they do survive, top end championship player, and might even get a lower end or newly promoted premier league team

Don’t know what will happen to him now but prior to the lockdown I believe a move was close to having been sorted for him.matttheclaret wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 2:07 pmSee if he fancies League 1 football. I think that's where they're heading

Indeed. Neither were posting pictures of themselves on social media in the clobber of another football club whilst picking up substantial wages and being unavailable for selection.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 1:56 pmVokes was at Anfield when Southampton won to get to a cup final. Ironically if he’d stuck at it he’d probably see some pitch time over the next 6 weeks.

No, the other two turned up to watch the teams they support when not required by us. Both respectful. Gibson has shown disrespect on a number of occasions.agreenwood wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 2:32 pmIndeed. The other frustrating aspect of this is that he’s devalued himself in the process. We’ll be lucky to recoup a few million for him now.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 2:37 pmNo, the other two turned up to watch the teams they support when not required by us. Both respectful. Re: Cummings and Gibson
I read somewhere that the fee we paid for him, like most transfers, includes extra payments for appearances and other things etc. So, given his lack of game time, we’ve paid nowhere near the figure quoted. How true that is I don’t know.agreenwood wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 2:39 pmThe other frustrating aspect of this is that he’s devalued himself in the process. I seem to disagree with a lot on here. The lads desperate to play football and ok he spit his dummy out when a move fell through but there have been various posts over the years with players of various clubs being lambasted for turning loans down being called lazy. Let's give the lad a break and put his signing down to experience.

He could be a great signing for the likes of Norwich, Watford, Villa or Leeds. Won't cost much and he's got a massive point to prove.

Sure the full story will come out once he does finally leave officially. No way this can de down to spitting out his dummy over a move that fell through.fzr162 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 2:54 pmI seem to disagree with a lot on here. Re: Cummings and Gibson
I'm not sure Boro can afford him.
I think he'll end up at Watford in a deal for Andre Gray and this is why..
Nigel Pearson ex-Boro he's friends with Chris Kamara ex-Boro he's friends with David Gibson father to Ben Gibson.
After Watford's bid was knocked back in Jan, I think there was a conversation like 'kick up a stink, go train up at Boro, keep fit, we'll get you in summer at a knockdown price cos Burnley will want to offload'.
Could be way off target and with Covid and no money for transfer fees, that's why I think there'll be a deal with Gray coming back.
We'll see.

Re: Cummings and Gibson
Swap him for Joe Allen. Shawcross is on his last legs, and we always get someone old from Stoke in the summer. Joe Allen can still do a job. Plus he's injured at the moment so that ticks another of our boxes.

I can't see Andre Gray wanting to return north, with his recent engagement and his good lady's work commitments which will I suspect be mainly based in London ...Woonderbah wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 8:08 pmI'm not sure Boro can afford him.
