That’s the worst bench in the history of Burnley Football Club
Thought you were old enough to remember the eighties... obviously not.

That’s worst over reaction in the history on this message board.
Name me a worse one? You can go back to when we had just one sub if you want. I’d swap Thompson, Jensen, Dunne and John Francis - at his age now

I feel like everyone out there for Burnley feels as though there's nothing to lose today.
I hope that means good things.

For me, he's just named who's available.
Hendrick, bardsley, Hart, Lennon - contracts expiring.
JBG, Brady, Wood, Barnes - all injured.
Koiki, Benson, Glennon and others - all can't play till window opens.
Does anyone know if/when the other U23's are on expiring contracts? Mumbongo, Goodridge etc?
He hasn't got much left. But, he's very happy to put the blame on the chairman, which sounds fair given the reasons.

No time for those being paid but not wiskmhing to take part. Equally, Chairman should be hanging his head in shame.
Every place is worth millions. We were all thinking Europe and he allows this to happen!
First team looks up to scratch. Let's hope they all get through unscathed. 3 points looking possible!

Two Strikers Injured, Two Wingers injured. A 33yr old (lennon) that's probably on a large wage and not played a lot wants off, let him go. Hart, well, we can keep debating how much we needed him at the time, but I don't think we've needed him as much as we've payed him. Quite a few of our more promising youngsters out on loan so can't play.
Hendrick and Bards are the only that Dyche can have any qualms about. If the bench is a disgrace, its not all on the board imo.

Sky coverage of City v Burnley
1st question to pundits:
If the season started today would Liverpool or City be your favourites to win league!!
can’t even stomach to mention Clarets are playing there 1st prem game in 3 months...on an unbeaten 7 match run incl victory at Old Trafford
I hate these sycophantic ‘top 6 loving’ commentators!

He did not sound happy then, anything but infact.
Absolute shot at the board, theyve hung him out to dry and he has told all the world how he feels and who's at fault for the situation.

Can't understand at all why he'd want to keep Hart though when we've got BPF.

Anyone under any illusions about the “Is Dyche ****** off?” speculation only needed to see that pre match interview.
I don’t think he’ll be here for the first game of next season - job to walk into or not.

I'm really not sure why people are overreacting. I'd let all the out of contract players go - it's unfortunate timing with season extension, but I'd rather put the wage towards some decent up and coming players vs. the likes of Hart/Lennon who have done nothing all season.
The only 50/50 is a Hendrick - who probably is asking for a lot more cash than we'd want to pay.

I’m assuming if Hendrick and Bardsley are out of the contract at the end of the month, they could have been on the bench. Is Dyche trying to prove a point by not picking them?

You might have, but Dyche wouldn’t have and it seems he feels the board have gone against his wishes to save money.
A ridiculous decision considering the money Dyche has made this club. I wouldn’t have kept anyone bar Bardsley and Hendrick, but I don’t manage BFC and have grown to know to never doubt Sean.

We have to assume that Bards and Jeff have refused to play. If not then Sean has thrown his dummy out of the prom. Both are eligible I think

You've got to laugh at all the changes they've made, who they've replaced them with, then look at our bench.
He'll of a game to win!

A few months ago I posted that we would let those out of contract go to save cash and I still think that’s the best option rather than having to sell one of our star players.
Fortunately we are virtually in the lucky position of our position in this league secured for season 20/21 and we can build in the summer.

Well at least the weak bench will give those who were outraged by Burnley taking a knee something else to focus on.
