tonight's games
Re: tonight's games
Palace have only named 8 subs, so it's not just us who can't fill the bench.

And to add to their woes Zaha's gone off injured, hard to see him being fit for Monday, big boost for us if he's out.

Re: tonight's games
2-0 Salah, hope they give Palace the run around 2nd half, although they've got an extra day's rest, so it won't make much difference.
Re: tonight's games
Hopefully Liverpool have eased off by the time we go to Anfield or we could be in for another thumping.

Liverpool are exceptional tonight. Palace have as much chance here as we did on Monday.

Re: tonight's games
That Liverpool-Palace result, puts our result at City into perspective, both ourselves and Palace were 2 of the form teams in the division, and yet both have been convincingly dispatched, this shows the gulf in class between the top 2 and the rest, and shows what an over-reaction some posters had on here, the reality is if the top teams are on fire they'll blow the opposition away. There's no disgrace to ourselves or Palace it's just the nature of this league.

Chelsea 1-0 City
Against decent sides City's defence looks very poor at times

Millwall v Swansea at 5pm.
Connor Gallagher, have we been linked with him recently ? playing for Swansea.

Re: tonight's games
Not a great spectacle, I guess Jed Wallace a right winger for Millwall the only one catching the eye.
Brighton v Man U later, go on then, who do we want to win that.

Re: tonight's games
The Brighton game is billed as being broadcast on Pick TV
I want those Seagulls to poop on Man United as this will help to clear the Claret's path to European Glory.

Re: tonight's games
Yeah agree Frank can't see Brighton going down now.
Re: tonight's games
As it stands Brentford 2 points behind WBA, albeit played 1 more game.
Blimey, Brentford in the premier League ? Didn't realise they were so close in the league to West Brom.

Re: tonight's games
Brentford the only club with a chance of beating WBA to second place and going up with Leeds. If WBA end up second, then I hope Brentford win the playoffs as at the moment they deserve it, for not choking like teams such as Fulham.
I think they've only lost 1 game in something like 11.

Re: tonight's games
Finished 1-1 between Millwall & Swansea, a result of no use to either, both are falling off the play off pace.
Rovers goalless at HT, come on the Tykes.
Cardiff also goalless at the break, could do with them waking up 2nd half.
Yes the Brighton-Man U game is on Pick, didn't know that, that's a nice surprise.

Re: tonight's games
It's a tough looking run, but all those teams are inconsistent, even the top 2 can never be guaranteed to win when you expect them to.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 7:08 pmAfter tonight, Rovers have Leeds, Cardiff, WBA, Millwall to come in their next 4 games.
Ouch.
You do feel Rovers have to win tonight to stay in touch though.
If Brentford could see their game out tonight, the WBA camp will be nervous.
Oh! dear Rovers losing, Chaplin stealing the show Just need Cardiff to win now.

Substitute scored after only being on the pitch two minutes. Great header.

And the scorer according to sky sports is C Chaplin. Please let it be Charlie.

Brentford really putting the pressure on West Brom.
Re: tonight's games
Brentford have a lot of good players but there's a midfielder there, Norgaard, who generally goes unnoticed but does a hell of a lot of good work allowing their forwards to play. Very impressive.
Re: tonight's games
Rovers having a great week 1st Wigwam now Barnley or is it Burnsley ...

Re: tonight's games
Wouldn't mind Brentford getting promoted. Look to play good football, and a far better away day than going to the Hawthorns again. New stadium as well, even though I liked Griffin park.

Re: tonight's games
Hahahaha It's a petulant and pathetic red card.
The Rovers dude was accidentally tripped by a Barnsley player and the ref gave no freekick, correctly. He threw a paddy and ran off and kicked a different Barnsley player out of touch.
Hilarious.

When I see the Brereton name I can't help think it's like an. ALDI version of Brett Emerton.
Oh how they've fallen.

Re: tonight's games
How in hell can the Sky studio guys say that is not a straight red?
He has assaulted him not even a pretence of trying to play the ball.
Rovers expected to win this but they shouldn’t count their chickens.......
When you think back they wanted to lynch Beckham for a little back kick.
