Don't you mean Radio Blackburn, they're is bad as the LET, we play in the PL and get a result, and yet our report is halfway down the site, whereas Rovers have a run of the mill Champ game, and it's the lead article.Gordaleman wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 7:53 pmCommentary team on Radio Lancashire are almost crying. Never known such misery, ha ha.
Tough for Rovers to make the play-offs now you'd hope, mind you with the bunch of bottlers above them who knows.
Heck of a game tomorrow PNE-Derby, great incentive for both to close on the top 6.

LET? Its a long while since it's been called that. It's not even printed in England now either.tiger76 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 8:07 pmDon't you mean Radio Blackburn, they're is bad as the LET, we play in the PL and get a result, and yet our report is halfway down the site, whereas Rovers have a run of the mill Champ game, and it's the lead article.

Re: tonight's games
There's sometimes a team that makes a late run for the play offs, could be Derby for a change, they usually make a late run out of the play offs !

2-0 United but it looked off side to me. VAR says not. What a surprise.

so pleased we didn't sign Dale Stephens !!
Not sure it was offside, left back looked to be playing him on (borderline)

Not sure, I only saw it once but the ball was out of play just before the goal and it wasn't given.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 8:50 pmLooked onside when looking at the player further along.

first goal shouldn't have stood, linesman missed the ball being out of play (32 seconds before it but should have been a Brighton throw in)

If Leeds lost every game they will still go up, as Frank says there's nobody consistant to catch them.

Re: tonight's games
Barnsley and Luton are beginning to put pressure on the three teams above them, recent EPL teams Huddersfield Hull and Stoke and it looks like at least one of them will go down.
For those that think Burnley would be better off in the Championship because we would win every week, have another think.

I assume it's because you get a bigger buzz winning a division than fighting to avoid relegation most seasons.

Re: tonight's games
It's very much part of my life and I never stopped going when we were down there in the 4th division. But I want us to be as good as we can be and right now I'm enjoying the football at a level that I never thought we'd reach again.kritichris wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 10:37 pmSwings and roundabouts.. Could Yorkshire lose 3 teams from the Championship?
Barnsley, Boro, Hull & Udders all struggling. Colin might keep Boro up and Barnsley are on a good run.

Those are all clubs that I enjoyed away trips to, good ale, proper fish n chips and not too far to travel (except Boro). Fans generally friendly too.
Re: tonight's games
Another difference is many people will never have heard of half of the Championship clubs, whereas we are probably known in every country around the world due to Premier league TV exposure.kritichris wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 10:04 pmI assume it's because you get a bigger buzz winning a division than fighting to avoid relegation most seasons.

Re: tonight's games
Must say the bottom end of the Championship has a remarkable look to it, four points separating the bottom six clubs and four of those teams with PL parachute payments in either one or both of the last two seasons.huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 10:40 pmCould Yorkshire lose 3 teams from the Championship?

Middlesbrough (£34.9m in '18/'19), Stoke City (£77.5m in '18/'19 & '19/'20), Hull City (£34.9m in '18/'19) and Huddersfield (£42.6m est. in '19/'20).
It was Huddersfield's owner Alan Hodgkinson, just a few weeks ago, who suggested some 50 or 60 clubs could go to the wall as a result of this pandemic. Perhaps he's now looking closer to home than he realised at the time.

Re: tonight's games
Leeds are doing their level best to stuff it up, but they should have enough of a gap to be ok, West Brom on the other hand really need a win tomorrow, otherwise both Brentford and Fulham will be breathing down their necks, and if Forest can string a few wins together they can't be ruled out of contention either.
As for who's going down perm any 3 from the bottom 7.
A final footnote 700 up for Lionel Messi tonight, with a Panenka penalty, but Barca slip up again drawing 2-2 at home to Atletico, huge advantage to Real now, win on Thursday and they'll move 4 points clear.

Re: tonight's games
There will be a few conking themselves at the clubs you mention Roy. Especially as I note that Luton are on a six game unbeaten run including a win over Brentford as well as tonight’s excellent result. They have four home games including vs Barnsley and their two away games are vs Huddersfield who are struggling but Hull are in free fall since they lost Grosicki and Bowen they have gone 13 games without a win, most of them defeats.

Re: tonight's games
Yeah Hull are looking in very poor shape, 1 point from the last 5 games. They have Boro to play on Thursday and that could be a ray of hope for them before visiting WBA on Sunday then Bristol mid next week. Huddersfield too need to pull their fingers out sometime soon with (as stated above) Luton and Barnsley on the up.

Hull is actually 112 miles away and just under 2 hours drive and Boro is 87 miles and 1 hour 50. I thought they were both similar so I had a Google.

Re: tonight's games
Fulham can't deal with the pressure when they get close to the top. Proved it time and time again this season. Even if the top 2 lost every remaining game, Fulham would smell top 2 and keep losing.tiger76 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 11:29 pmLeeds are doing their level best to stuff it up, but they should have enough of a gap to be ok, West Brom on the other hand really need a win tomorrow, otherwise both Brentford and Fulham will be breathing down their necks, and if Forest can string a few wins together they can't be ruled out of contention either.

Brentford swapping with WBA is the only thing I can possibly see happening. Let's see if Brentford have enough balls.

Tonight's games on TV...
5pm: Preston vs Derby (Sky Sports)
6pm: Arsenal v Norwich City (BT Sport)
6pm: AFC Bournemouth v Newcastle United (Sky Sports + Pick + Sky One)
6pm: Everton v Leicester City (Sky Sports)
8.15pm: West Ham v Chelsea (Sky Sports)
The Bournemouth game is on Pick and also on Sky One, for those who don't have Sky Sports.
I think I'll have the Preston, Bournemouth and West Ham games on.
Hoping for a Derby, Bournemouth and Chelsea win.

Yeah, the Bournemouth game for me, the other two on at that time are a bit meh.
Could be the Cherries last chance to put some points on the board.

Re: tonight's games
If both Bournemouth and West Ham lose tonight then mathematically we are safe unless there is a massive change in our respective goal differences in our remaining games
